  1. No. I bought it used and the warranty has since expired. The power steering assist fault came back on today and I drove straight to Autozone with no power steering. They plugged in and didn’t receive any codes. How can I have no power steering, the light for it is on and there are no codes present?
  2. Does the car's memory store DTC codes? Here's my issue. My "power steering assist fault" error trips multiple times throughout the day and I lose power steering. If I turn the car off and back on, then it usually goes away and my power steering returns. I have a feeling it has something to do with the Power Steering Control Module recall. I have taken it to the dealer twice now and they told me there weren't any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) present. They reprogram the Power Steering Control Module and send me on my way. If they had DTCs present, then they would have to replace the power steering gear assembly. I don't understand how there aren't any DTCs present if I am losing power steering and receiving the "power steering assist fault" error. I think the dealer is just clearing the codes and reprogramming the module. How would I be able to prove there is a trouble code popping?
