  1. I, once again, disconnected the battery and reconnected it, to force a master reset. And, once again, the hands-free functionality works with incoming and outgoing calls, as well as media and audio. I'll circle back around next time this happens to leave an update.
  2. My old Intrepid had some loops in the frame that a tow strap with a hook could fit into...I'd assumed that my Fusion would be the same way, though I guess it's not.
  3. Therein lies the problem - I'm actively in the job market right now, and can usually count on a few strange numbers per week being recruiters or potential employers. I can't believe there isn't a good fix other than just not answering calls, especially since this didn't happen with my previous phone, and has only begun in the past 3 months.
  4. (is it okay to bump topics, or do I need to start a new one?) I have the same exact issues with my 2011 2.5 SE. I got a new Samsung phone in June of this year (my old phone was Android), and these problems have increased with very specific circumstances: My SYNC Bluetooth audio will work just fine, for days and weeks on end, and will even make and receive phone calls from my phone's contact list, but getting the ever-more-common robo/spam calls will totally nerf my Bluetooth connection...Every time I take a robocall via SYNC's hands-free calling, I need to either perform a factor reset using the menu, or completely disconnect the battery cable to force a reset. So, my question is if this is a common thing with Samsung phones. Can anyone shed light onto SYNC disconnecting regularly with other brands?
  5. Black SE. I've had to make an unfortunate amount of insurance claims, so it's on its second front bumper, grille assembly, and left headlight. And, working at a hotel has left quite a few scratches along the doors (as hamfisted troglodite guests drag their luggage out of their car, and along the side of mine). Good to hear that the 2.5 can reach such high mileage! The tentative plan for my wife and I (very ambiguous, and nothing's actually set in stone) is for her to take over the Fusion when it's paid off, and trade her car in on a pickup truck. I'm a pretty hands-on dude...I take pride in the fact that I squeezed 50,000 more miles out of my old Dodge Intrepid than the dealer said it was going to last.
  6. Good morning! I recently joined up after being stymied at the stealership with a couple of technical bugs. I drive a Gen 1.5 Ford Fusion with 2.5 liters of American Inline-4 powah (said in Jeremy Clarkson's voice). I named my car Norman, because he reminds me of a stodgy old guy. Anyway, I bought the car when it had 80,xxx miles on it and have put over 40,000 on it over the past 4 years, and its age is starting to show. My wife drives a Focus with the same 2.5l engine, so it's really fun to buy matching oil change kits at Advance Auto (the oil filter is the same on both cars). My username is the OBD code for small evap leak, something which has plagued every car I've ever owned, so I thought it appropriate to use here. I chose this site after Googling "ford fusion forums" and finding that this was the most active; or had the most activity recently. I hope I can learn a few things, and hopefully, spread some of my knowledge around as well!
