Have a blue 2006 Fusion S, I-4, Auto - Underwent a handfull of TSB's while under 36K warranty (see below), including rough shifting at low speeds (i.e. moving around parking lots, pulling away from stops, etc.) ... now that the car is out of warranty (47K), the rough-shift has returned ... (although it never 'truely' went away, a re-program made it less 'noticable' ... now the rough-shifts are back to their 'old' intensity, i.e. a big 'jerk' when going from first to second) ... any ideas / possible courses of action ? (I won't even go into the 'tick' from the engine at cold or hot/warm idle (cam noise is my guess), or the squeaks from the drivers seat when getting in/out)) FYI - Other TSB's needed / performed : * Squeeky / clicky wheel covers (replaced under warranty with 'revised' design - covers now stick out slightly farther from wheels than did originals) * Popping sound in dash when using heat / air (pins and 'spacers' installed in dash ... still recurs occasionally, but not often enough for me to take the car back in for yet another dealer visit) * Squeeking noise from drivers door ('tape' and 'spacers' installed in door ... door still makes noise occasionally, but I'm just living with it) * The afore-mentioned transmission re-programming I came to the Fusion from a '99 Chevrolet Prizm <-- re-badged Toyota Corolla (that had 75K on it when I traded it and had a spotless very-nearly-maintenance-free history) ... the styling of the Fusion got my attention at an auto show, and the fact that a lot of the car comes from Mazda made me make the jump to a domestic brand .... I've learned my lesson, and once I'm done with this car, will not go domestic again (currently I can't unload the Fusion, as, due to the high mileage I rack up (just over 20K a year) and being a base-model Fusion, it's not worth what I owe on it *sigh*) Again, any input / thoughts would be appreciated!
