I know a guy in our Fusion club that did an SCT tune on his GF's 1.5. He tuned it to his own specs and blew oil everywhere...lol. Then he decided to use proved numbers from Torrie. He has been very happy since.

I am using Torrie McPhail, with Unleashed Performance for my tunes. He comes highly recommended and knows his stuff...from everyone I have talked to. Including Ford Performance! So I am fairly confident that I won't be given numbers that will destroy my car.

Interesting, I'm told that I can get about a 20HP boost from a performance TB...what is your data regarding this?

Here is the down-pipe I purchased from ZZP. I have since had it installed and Resonator deleted. The growl is a bit louder and there is a serious hiss at let-off. LVL Intercooler will be the next install, then a TB I will be tuning her in May, when hopefully the snow will be gone. If anyone has info on Throttle Bodies, I would be very interested in reading about it...thanks.

As of right now...I have a '16 Fusion, Titanium, with a 2.0T. I am using an SCT X4 Tune (From Unleashed Performance), K&N Performance intake kit, a ZZP 3" performance down pipe, new Motorcraft plugs and I am kicking around the idea of an intercooler and possibly a new TB down the road. I don't have it all in front of me to send pictures of the parts, but I will eventually disclose information in here that should prove to be helpful to anyone who is thinking of doing this as well. I know these cars CAN be over-revved if the right parameters are not used.

Actually the tune itself will only add about 45HP, but the down pipe and new throttle body, plus the New performance intake...should cover the remaining 25HP

I have purchased what I believe to be what I need to increase the HP in my 2.0T by as much as 70HP above stock. But I am a bit Tentative, because I am concerned about over tuning and destroying what has been an absolute gem of a motor for me for over 100,000 miles to date. Anyone who has tuned already, and has things they would recommend NOT to do and things that worked well...please feel free to post your comments here.
