  1. oh...sorry didn't mention, i got the extended warranty, and it was covered under that as i was just over the 36k original warranty, long story short when i bought car i had fords service plan, i sold back my plan ($1500 value) and got extended warranty ($1000) for free plus $500 towards car
  2. just realized there were more posts on my thread...To reiterate my local dealer replaced my dash under warranty, and since replacement is holding much better than old one, I do use a sun shield and would also recommend one. Only small issue is the speaker cover piece occasionally pops up but i push it back down and good for a while.
  3. This Morning I took my 2017 Fusion (Platinum trim) to my local dealer, because my Rotary Gear shiftier would be almost stuck in park unless force was used OR very stiff moving to Reverse or Drive, Transmission is fine, drives ok, No warning Lights, shifting to reverse from drive is ok, but back to park is stiff. Made sure door shut properly and brake pedal was pushed all the way and tried with and without parking brake on. Dealer called and said they have to replace the dial, covered under extended warranty with 36,000 miles, havent driven much in last 2 weeks since my job forced everyone to teleworking...Has anyone else had same issue with gear shiftier or similar??? Thanks
  4. I did have he issue when i bought the car but it got worse over time, I do recall talking to a technician and he said the dash either was not installed properly at factory or it a defect of having a leather dash...was super happy it was covered under warranty and looked better after the install of new dash.
  5. To reiterate my PM to Chad. I went to my ford dealer service department and told them this was happening to my dash, they said they didn't have anything to compare to and tried to fix it, had no luck. They ordered and installed a new Dash didn't cost me anything as it was under warranty, i had around 28K miles on it, now over 30k miles. they did a great job and looks MUCH better.
  6. Hey everyone, to any owners of the Platinum trim level of ford fusion have you experienced and tearing or wear in early life of your leather dash board? I ask because for the one year Ive owned my car Ive noticed the dash leather starting to tear and wear above the air vents (see picture)...dealer said they had nothing to compare to and they attempted to fix with some glue/epoxy but are replacing my dash under warranty. I was curious if this is a known issue or just with mine? Thanks
  7. I was curious seeing news of the new ford explorer and escape models coming they appear to have Sync 3 but a new version of it. Does anyone know or think that cars that currently have Sync 3 will get an update? or no and just the new ones have the newest version? just curious as to anyone's opinion....thanks!
  8. Over the course of last week, trying some different parking spots and i think you are right, the tires must be collecting lots of little rocks/pebbles and are flinging them back. besides the noise everything is fine, thanks for the help!!
  9. Oh...good to know, with these 19inch continentals A/S tires how long till you needed to replace them ive seen some say around 23000 some say 50,000+.
  10. bbf2530, you might be partially right, i should have mentioned the roads are pavement, though there is a small parking lot i do park in sometimes with gravel rocks similar to those who use rocks instead of pavement driveways. Yes my fusion is still under the bumper warranty as i have 18,600 miles on the car. There is no shacking or rattling just the noise. I plan on washing the car tomorrow, when i do i will check everything.
  11. On my 2017 fusion platinum, On my way to work it drives fine no issues (cold in mornings), in the warmer afternoons when i leave for a the first few miles (roads are a little bumpy no pot holes) i hear a noise sounds like its from the front wheel well, the sound is like tiny rocks in my wheel wells or someone tapping on a piece of metal, silly i know but that's what it sounds like. After the first 5 to 10 miles or so the noise stops, after my 30mile commute i enter my neighborhood and i don't hear the noise. Next morning i roll down my windows as i leave the driveway and i don't hear the noise but i do later when i leave my offices parking lot. Am i loosing my mind?? Thanks everyone.
  12. Good to know, thanks i was going to do 10K mile interval the manual and App tell me but my local ford dealer told me to do it around 7500 and 8500 as longer and oil gets thick and could cause issues.
  13. my seats are not as worn just a little dirty from pants rubbing on them, yours I am impressed how the cleaner and conditioner restored your seats they look almost new again.
  14. Hello, i have a 2017 Fusion Platinum with a 2.0 Eco boost. Ive had it for a year now (bought new) and a little over 18,000 miles on it. I take it to get oil changes around 7500 miles, and no issues so far. Has anyone had any issues with the 2.0 engine?? just want to know what i could expect..thanks!
  15. Thanks for the suggestions, it comes with real leather seats, never had them on a car before and want to take care of them as best i can.
