  1. Thanks tsetse51, I think I am going to buy a manual online. Do you know if Haynes is a good one?
  2. Hello, I need some advice please. My son bought a 2007 Fusion with the 3.0 L V6. There seems to be oil leaking from the rocker cover gasket and the front crankshaft oil seal. I think the rocker cover gasket is quite straight forward but I am a bit concerned about the timing cover oil seal. I will probably re use the crank pulley bolt and washer. Do I need to be concerned with the timing at all while doing the seal? I am planning to put some rope into the spark plug hole while the piston is down the cylinder and then turning the engine so that the piston is moving toward top dead center on the compression stroke. Hopefully this will hold the crank while I tighten the pulley bolt. I have a 4 stage tightening sequence I found for a 2009 fusion 3.0 engine. It says to tighten the bolt to 89 ft lbs. Loosen 1 turn, retighten to 37 ft lbs and then tighten 90 degrees more. I just wanted to check with everyone to see if this seems good or should I be doing something else? Do I have anything to worry about? Thanks for any advice.
