  1. First post here, having some issues with my 2014 1.5 fusion and would appreciate any help you guys could offer. I’ve had it for about 5000 miles and it’s been just fine until a few weeks ago when it developed a bad misfire when accelerating onto the highway. I stopped and could see that the whole intake manifold was trying to pull away from the block and the bolt by the alternator was loose. I tightened just that one bolt up to get it home and it was ok. It’s been driven a little bit since then and it seems like occasionally it’ll misfire bad and you can turn the car off and turn it back on again and it’s fine. I’m assuming this is related to the intake manifold being loose and I want to take it off, clean the valves, and put it all back together to make sure it’s all torqued right and doesn’t loosen up again. The problem I’m having is that I can’t get the little cooler that’s in the front of the manifold out. There’s some a/c lines in the way. Has anyone been able to get it off without removing those lines? I’ll take them off if I have to but don’t have anyway to recover the Freon so I’d have to pay to get it recharged. Any advice on taking this intake off would be very appreciated. Thanks!
