  1. You are exactly right. 4 cylinders will grenade at that power level where a SB or BB Chevy will run for 100,000's of miles.
  2. My lumbar support is not inflating. There is no buzz from the pump. I did take the switch out to look at it but it's a solid state switch soldered on a circuit board. Anyone have this issue and if so how did you fix it. What I'm thinking is taking the switch module from the passenger side and try it on the drivers (and vise-versa). At least I can narrow it down to the pump or the switch. I hope it's the switch as the pump seems to be buried behind the seat side airbag area.
  3. I guarentee my 1971 Corvette will beat 90% of the modern 4 and 6 cylinders today. There are special modification I made myself, she doesn't look like much but she's got it where it counts.
  4. So far no codes have come back after replacing purge valve. Easy job, take the foam cover off and it's on the drivers side under the intake pipe. One thing is these valve come already assembled with the hoses etc. I found just the valve on the big A as looking at some of the videos on getting to one of the lines is a nightmare. What I did was cut the line off the old valve the used some old rubber vacuum tube I have laying around in the garage and made a short piece to adapt the new purge valve to the original lines. Couple of zip-ties later and it's installed. It all took about 20 minutes minus the time it took to find my old vacuum hose stash.
  5. 2016 Titanium with 56,000 miles on it. This started a few months ago. Sitting at a light in S mode I decided to do some spirited acceleration off the line. These engines rev so quick out of first gear and the tach is not is a good location so I sometime rev to redline and the trans controller shifts it into second automatically. Sometimes, and it's seems to be happening more often that not these days, once it shifts to second (or if I shift with the paddles) the engine just bogs down, no acceleration the sputters a bit and picks back up. No codes or anything. I think it's either running out of fuel pressure or boost under load. Anyone had this problem and what was the fix?
  6. Replaced the Evap purge valve and all codes are gone. Just replaced it yesterday so we'll see.
  7. I get the same thing but only when driving. I've never had the it won't start after filling up but I've read that it's common. What happens is the system closes a valve and draws a vacuum on the evap hoses and tank. If the vacuum doesn't bleed off to a certain level in a certain time it post this code. I may be a bad valve or a kinked vacuum line. For now I just clear the code. One day I'll throw parts at it.
  8. Picked up a new Ecoboost badge. Nuff said........
  9. So the cooled seats do turn on when I use remote start and with the HVAC controls set to last setting and I turn off the car with the cooled seats on. What I was expecting to see is the cooled seats LED's on when pressing the start button after getting into the car. Once you press the start button (after remote start) the HVAC system LED's are on like normal but you have to turn the cooled seats back on. So it is working like the manual states. The same for the heated seats.
  10. Yes, Titanium with every option but park assist, adaptive cruise control and some other minor options. With the hot weather we've been having it would be nice to cool the black leather seats a little before getting in. There has to be a right combination of settings to make it work as I've tried them all but haven't found the right one yet. My biggest complaint about the car is the owner's manual. Very hard to follow sonetimes. Yes, I'm the geek who reads it from front to back. LoL
  11. Thats condensation unless you are leaking coolant which you would know immediately because it would smell. On aircraft we used to fog out the cockpit with condensation on hot, humid summer days to where you could hardly see anything. Good fun.
  12. So the owners manual contradicts itself. In one section it says you have to manually turn them on when using remote start. In another section it says to configure climate controls to Auto in the vehicle settings menu and depending on the temperature it will turn on the heated or cooled seats. I've tried all the settings but they still will not turn on. Anyone know the trick?
  13. It would be easy to place a temp sensor inside the cabin independent of the AC auto control sensor(s) to see the difference between inside and outside.
  14. Is there any way to display inside air temp on any of the screens? I have a 2015 Explorer and a 2016 Fusion Titanium both are IPC type 2 with 8" MFT screens. Since there has to be some sort of temp sender unit for the auto AC system to work it would be nice to see what the current inside air temp is. Thanks
