Hi Kevin. Who programmed the new fob? When you purchased the new fob, did you have a Ford Dealer properly program both fobs to your car?

Didn’t went to a Ford dealership, a locksmith person programed my fusión key and when he saw it does not recognize the key inside or nearby the car it told me is not the key is something else because he programed spares keys for my mustang and Mazda with no problems, just the fusion, the only one that is push button start.

Hi Kevin. You do not mention whether you have a second fob and whether that one works? If yes, then it is a likely a problem with the one fob, and could be as simple as replacing the battery/batteries in the fob. You also do not mention how long you have owned the car or whether the Intelligent Access feature ever worked since you have owned the car.

So at this point, the first step would be to replace the battery/batteries in the fob. Instructions are in your Owners Manual. If you do not have your copy, you can download the PDF version here: https://www.fleet.ford.com/partsandservice/owner-manuals/

And if you do not have a second fob, you should purchase a second one and have it programmed to your car.

There is no way to internet diagnose whether this is an antenna problem. However, the no start condition would seem to say otherwise.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

I own the car since April 2019 the intelligent access didn’t work, I purchased the car with an original oem key fob, and I got another new key fob assuming that would fix the problem but no. Both key fobs have battery.

  3. I have a 2013 Fusion titanium with intelligent access but that feature does not work it won’t detect me when I grab the door handle it won’t open the car for me I have to open it with the buttons on the key fob, when I get in the car and press brake pedal and push the bottom to start the car it says “no key detected”  I need to put the key on a cubby in center console to start the car.

the car is a rebuilt title with rear end damaged, i heard the antena for the key to be detected is on the rear end but I don’t know if that’s the part that I need to replace.

  4. My 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium shows a message on the left screen saying “check rear park aid” the car is a salvage title with rear damage. The car was fix when I bought it but the message still there, the rear sensors works because when I go into reverse it detects a car passing by, by a a message on the left screen saying “vehicle coming from left” or “right”. And in settings it won’t let me choose the option “rear park aid” Maybe a park sensor out of the 4 doesn’t work or how can I check if any of the 4 sensors works?

    I upload images for information

  5. When I bought the car it came with a original ford key fobs, that one did not work, the previous owner did not know either why it stop working, I bought a new one programed (the locksmith person used a programmer connected to the DVI port under the steering wheel) and it works locks/unlocks the car with the buttons but the proximity feature still does not work. The locksmith guy said it might be a sensor or something else because the new key fob works fine.

Just when the car is unlocked, if it’s locked even if I have the keys on my pocket it does not open.

  7. I bought a used 2013 Fusion Titanium with keyless entry (push start button) and I notice that when you pull the door handed it should unlock all the door and just by climbing inside, press the brake and the start button it should start the engine but not in my case, I have to put it on a certain slot on the center console in order to start the car, at first I thought it should be the battery on the key fob but the lock/unlock, truck, panic, and remote start works fine.

I bought another key a brand new one thinking that should solve the problem but it does not, i think that something (sensor or part) is not working properly because it does not recognize the key that is close to the car to open the door with the handle or even start the car , it pop out a message saying “No Key Detected”
