  1. li-io batteries are less sensible to deep discharge and do not discharge over time if not in use. That said, if charge in cell ( individual cell of batteries) go under a certain level it will not charge back. On that note if you use your car regularly you should not have any problem with the batterie. The hybrid system is program in a way not to deplete the hvb. From experience the hvb should last the lifetime of the car with some rare exception .
  2. you are one toot off on the timing that is the exact symptoms i had on a escort 1.8 (second gen) and it took me for ever to find out .
  3. did you remove sinc from your blutoot devices on your phone and reconnect via the new phone in the car after the reset
  4. try this , i had the same problem on my escape a couple of time . it worked https://owner.ford.com/support/how-tos/sync/sync/setup/how-to-do-a-sync-master-reset.html
  5. that's normal , the compressor did not charge the coolant for a while what you get is residual pressure from the last time the systeme was running (the starts cold for 30 sec to one min). when it finished condensing you have a gap in coolant pressure in the system that's why you have that gap it cold air of a couple of minute it's the time for the system to build pressure back.
  6. i would check this option if I where you : Reconditioned batteries at this place https://www.electronautomotive.com/ check this video from chrisfix (it's from a prius but on the fusion it's almost the same )
  7. i sure will contact the dealer for that .
  8. sounds like you found your problem i had somthing similar on my fiero way back when and never found the problem.
  9. did you notice your ac becoming hotter or a oily smell , or if heating a shugary/sweet smell , check coolant level just in case . could be a lot of things this info can help pinpoint the problem .
  10. as bangster say it seams to me like a broken ac coolant line has blown the symptoms you describe and the white smoke is a tale tale sign of that . a test with pressure gauges will confirm this. as for the repairs the line will have to be replaced then a vacuum made in the system to remove air and moisture from the line and the system will have to be filled up with the proper oil and coolant to the accurate weigh of coolant for the system . it's easy to fix but need specialized tooling and knowledge of what coolant quantity and pressure the system runs at. better left to a specialist if you don't know how to do it.
  11. Hello and welcome i don't recommend going down on the 16 inches path , i don't think the rim will fit over the break assembly and sidewall will be too tall and it will compromise road handling . the smallest i would go is the 17" 225 50 R17 lot of choice in that size and around the same price as the 16 . As for tires i would recommend dedicated snow and ice tires for winter (here in Quebec it's mandatory). The reason is winters are designed to run in cold weather . At around 7 C (44 F) all weather and summer become to hard to provide adequate traction . Winter tires will gives you better breaking distances in cold , icy and snowy condition (30% or more ) than all season and all weather . i would recommend falken espia epz2 dedicated winter tires 225 50 R17(183.63 $cad) you will have them way cheaper in your neck of the wood i use them on my car and they are very good snow tires . winter driving is very different than what she use to in AZ and and all experience in the dry don't prepare you to what winter can trow at you i would also recommend that she take a weekend winter driving lesson at a local track it would help a lot in understanding the difference in weather condition.
  12. the strainer is avalable from ford (i don't have the part number ) you may need to do a full engine rebuild to get rid of the sludge in all the nook and crany . it may show damage on other parts like journal bearings etc. this kind of sluge can be traced too a couple of problems like late oil change on incompatible rubber hose (not oil rated )
  13. you need to get rid of the sludge . the strainer for the oil pump is clogged and starves the engine of oil . you gonna need to remove the oil pan , clean the strainer and oil pan . if you don't get rid of the sludge you'll only continue to have problem like this .
  14. it means it fit front for all model and rear for AWD. the rear for the FWD is a diferent part.

    Hello All

i haven't calculate the difference , here in Quebec electricity is very cheap , i know that on public electric recharge station we pay about 2.5$ per charge ( 1$/h and 2.5h to charge) at home it's less than that around 7.13 cents/kwh so a full charge (9kw battery ) is somthing like 64.17 cents a day , i'll know more in a year from now as i'll be able to do all the neasery calculation . s
