I currently work for Ford as a sales person at Koons Baltimore Ford. I also drive a 2019 Ford Fusion Energi which I leased in February of this year. Ford just came out with a new rewards program call Ford Pass Rewards where every dollar you spend with Ford, you get 10pts to use toward maintenance, service, accessories, etc. When you purchase or lease a new vehicle, you automatically get 40,000 points I think. Good enough for 3 or so oil changes. Its a nice selling point for customers but my questions are about how to access this with an electric car. When trying to add my car to Ford Pass in order to sign up for the rewards program, you can't add it because its an electric car. You must download the my ford mobile app for all hybrids and energi cars. Thats fine in order to use the capabilities of the app, however, I have not been able to find any place within the app register the reward points. I am wondering if someone out there knows how to go about that or access that. I have not been able to get any questions answered through Ford through my work at all, so hoping someone knows more or possibly stumbled across this. Also, does anyone know if the my ford mobile app will be updated at some point to get it up to par along with the Ford Pass. The ford pass app works 10x better than my ford mobile does and the updating and the waiting cause me not to use it. Ford has definitely come out to say they are going full force into the EV market and I wonder if there is any alternative or something on the horizon to fix the issues with my ford mobile app. Thanks a lot.
