  1. I have the same problem. It will work for a bit then stop. I ordered a replacement camera and installed it. It worked until i buttoned everything up and closed the trunk then it stopped. I reinstalled the old camera and started shaking wires. The only place that it flickered the image was between the trunk arm and the wheel well connector in the trunk. I have to pull apart the wiring to see if I can find the problem.
  2. Running seafoam through the fuel should be fine correct? I'll stick to the catch can and I guess I'll switch to high test fuel. I'm new to the whole turbo scene. I've never had one before. I'm assuming the PCV system is not circulating while under boost. The only PCV valves I've changed over the years had one way valves in them I believe. Is the ecoboost set up the same way? The catch can I ordered didn't say anything specific about boosted applications. https://www.jlttruecoldair.com/jlt-3-0-oil-separator-for-2013-18-fusion-2-0l-ecoboost-passenger-side/
  3. Ok. Thanks for the information. I really appreciate it. The upside is I was just playing with it and it is a 2 way system. That's going to be helpful. Where I park is just about 1000 feet from the door so I'll be able to test it over the next few days.
  4. I'm not sure how I would go about doing that. My key fobs do not have a start button. Lock, unlock, trunk and panic are all I have. I could try picking up one that has a start button instead of the trunk open. Perhaps that would program to the system. The remote start is factory installed. I have the window sticker for this car and it is on there.
  5. Ah, I didn't even think about the exhaust side of the turbo. Thanks for the information.
  6. Hello, Thanks for the reply. My key is the one with the button on it. The key flips out from the side. The remote start is a single button remote. When you push the button it has a green light illuminate around the button. Both have the ford logo on them. As far as I can tell they are both OEM style.
  7. I just purchased this car and have been reading about some of the issues these cars have with the intake valves. I plan on installing an oil catch can and sending seafoam through the manifold at each oil change. Are there any other steps or other issues I can head off with this engine that I do not know about yet? I currently have about 32K miles on it.
  8. I just did the sync upgrade for my car. After that the backup camera started giving me the camera unavailable contact dealer notification. I already tried doing a master reset to the unit and that did not help. The next step is going to be unplugging the camera itself for a few minutes. The next step is the battery itself overnight. Are there any other tricks I can try if none of those work before I take it to the dealer and pay the warranty deductible for the car I bought 4 days ago?
  9. Hello. I'm new to the forum. I just purchased a 2016 Fusion SE with most of the bells and whistles. I have a few questions and I hope some of you can help me out with some answers. First, I have the switchblade style key remote and a second remote for the remote start. Is there a way to get all the functions in one fob? I've seen 5 button remotes that do it all but I don't think I've seen one that uses the switchblade style key. Second, anyone have a real world idea of the range of the factory remote? Third, I see there are 2 way remotes for some vehicles. If I don't have a 2 way remote can I buy one and program it to the car? If it helps at all I do have both of the factory keys. I do only have 1 remote start fob though. Any assistance with any of these questions would be appreciated.
