  1. Are there companies that do make their aftermarket kits fit with factory bezels? Or is that not what they do?
  2. As-built - Audio system with standard display. Single CD, MP3, and Satellite radio capable. It's the factory default, not the Sony one (BE5Z18C869EB) (BE5Z10D885B) - Dual climate control for both driver and passenger. (AE5Z-19980-N) - Interior light kit - Auto-dimming rearview mirror - Power and heated driver and passenger seats - Keyless entry - Heated sidemirrors Recently Added - Rear Camera (AE5Z-19G490-A) - High Mount Lamp (AE5Z-13A613-A) @eGuru - Not sure what else you are interested in, but I think I covered all the features that are tied to the center bezel unless I forgot something? Oh, I personally replaced the original radio and climate controls from the non-navigation center bezel over year ago as the original buttons were too worn down. I've not had the opportunity to crack open the center bezel again, but totally can. @Multitask - In regards to the "Sync 1", are you referring to the software version or module embedded near the stickshift? I updated the software to the latest version about a year ago. If you are talking about the module I'm not overly concerned about extracting and replacing it. Programming however...that's where I'll need to get professionals involved for sure.
  3. Thank you for the responses! @Multitask - I do have eyes on where I could get all the parts, but am not sure if my cobbled shopping list is what I need. Regardless, thanks for the two links! When you said "new face" are you referring to the center bezel or the driver facing interface shell with buttons and knobs? Because of the dual temperature controls, interior lighting switch, and other features on the center bezel, I'd shy away from the Pioneer nav unit 8100. Did your 2012 Fusion SEL have the same features and did they work with the factory center bezel? Did it also work with Sync voice commands and steering wheel stereo controls? I'm quite curious. @eGuru - I do understand there is re-programming involved if I choose to keep the old tech. From my internet searches I've learned that the steering wheel switch (8A8Z-9C888-CA) would need to be replaced wholesale because of this. But as I mentioned if I can sidestep that nastiness that would be great! One other strategy I've considered discovered lockpicking the factory nav. Essentially, all the guts would be OEM and work with the existing Ford tech with the exception of device that overrides all the settings of the nav. computer. Perhaps others have heard of this too?
  4. Hi there, Over a year ago I purchased a used 2011 Ford Fusion SEL 2.5L L4 - Gas (see attached) and have dubbed her ala Star Wars the "Crimson Faeder". :-] She came with a personality right from the get-go and I've already executed some of my own personal touches which included replacing the puddle, fog, and interior dome lights with pink LEDs to match the factory interior LED kit which I've set to pink. ❤️ I love this car and I'm trying to upgrade it further, which is why I'm posting. I am graciously seeking assistance with help identifying all the necessary parts required for installation of an OEM navigation system with rear view camera assist. I'm not a mechanic, but my plan is take the parts to an auto shop specializing in electronics to complete the entire installation. I've done google, youtube searches and even looked through the two separate repair manuals I own, but I've not found information that details all the parts needed to do the install. Plus, I've scrubbed these forums and haven't found exactly the right information to help me move forward. Here is what I've already purchased off ebay (please note that these items were confirmed working by the seller and pulled from a 2011 Ford Fusion SEL): NAVIGATION SYSTEM Receiver - Ford (BE5Z18K931AA) = Used Display Unit - Ford (BE5Z10E899A) = Used Bezel - Ford (BE5Z18842AA) = Used and matches all my vehicles features Center Bezel - Ford (AE5Z-5404302-CB) = Used and matches all my vehicles features/trim PARKING AID ~ installed both, but lack wiring ~ Rear Camera - Ford (AE5Z-19G490-A) = New High Mount Lamp - Ford (AE5Z-13A613-A) = Used w/camera mounting After doing a careful study of this online shop's OEM inventory, here is what I believe are the parts needed to do the rest of the install: NAVIGATION SYSTEM Cable - Ford (9E5Z-10E929-A) Cruise Switch - Ford (8A8Z-9C888-CA) = Required as the original will need to be replaced with the new nav. system PARKING AID Control Module - Ford (AE5Z-15K866-A) Wire Harness - Ford (AE5Z-15K868-AA) Sensor - Ford (8A5Z-15K859-LA) Park Sensor Retainer Bracket - Ford (AE5Z-15K861-AA) Park Assist, Installation Kit - Ford (VAS4Z-15A866-C) Speaker - Ford (3F2Z-15K864-BA) Obstacle Sensors By Rosen, Reverse - Ford (VAS4Z-15A866-B) Yes, yes, I realize that I might by biting off more than I can chew, but I've been slowly collecting the parts and cash over the past year to try to execute this work. If anyone can confirm which parts are needed or point me to an overlooked forum post that would be fantastic. Or perhaps someone has a better strategy to completing this project; Ex: use an aftermarket radio that fits into the bezel? Honestly, I'm open to hearing it all! Thanks for reading, - DC
