  1. This happened to me around I think 3000 miles. I has not happen since. When I took my car in last week for an oil change, I told them about it. They looked up the TSB and said there was nothing about the issue.
  2. Well they are only making 25k of each. If they want a mass market car they will need to lower the price. It should be their goal to make a more affordable, mid size, high MPG car. That's where the market is headed. If they don't they will continue to loose market share and customers.
  3. Thanks tim, ill bring that info with me when I have them checking out my squeaking issue
  4. We got a call from Sirus this weekend asking if we wanted to sign up. (we go our FFH in April)We said we were still thinking about it and they asked what was holding us back. We just said we need to discuss if we really wanted it (we didn't want to talk since we were too busy at the time). I'm sure they will callback. I'm going to hold out and see if they will offer us a deal. $15 a month is too much. But if we can get that 77 dollar deal it would be worth it.
  5. True, Cost was another factor. Even with the hybrid credit it would have been around 4k more.. Im hoping that the price for the 2011 FFH will come down. Ford could really have a Prius killer on its hands if it could get a version out at 25k
  6. I agree with this. My friends 2010 prius goes right out the of the gate in EV mode and gets pretty good pickup, you don't have to baby it.(that much) With my FFH any time going from a complete stop to start, it kicks out of EV mode. This is killing my city MPGs, and it seems that I get better mileage on the HWY!
  7. Same thing happen to our FFH. It hasn't happened since, but when I take it for an oil change going to get it checked out. Thanks for the Heads up!
  8. Im getting the same thing here. I think im going to have the dealer look at it and see whats up
  9. We have put on around 8000 miles on our FFH, Getting around 38.9 mpg. Mostly because my wife's drive to work is hilly and has lots of stops. Sync some times does not always work as good as we hopped (her contacts on her phone are all screwed up and some of the mp3's don't have all the tags it needs) We had some weird rattling nose in the dash board at around 5000 miles but it has now went away. The car also seems to squeak when getting in and out. (Im only 200 lbs) but that might just be because we park on a slope) All in all though we are really happy with the car. Its about time to take her in for her first oil change and wheel rotation. I just went car shopping with my friend and every car we got into felt like less of a car than our FFH. I told him to get a FFH but he said he didn't want to have the same car as me!! haha (he went with a 2010 prius) It will be nice to race him when it comes in!
  10. My iPhone has lost pairing a few times. I end up having to re pair to the car. One really annoying thing though. for some reason, every time I get into the car it starts my iPhone music player even thought I do not stream music to the car that way (If I play music I hook the iPhone up to usb port and use sync). The sound does not come out of the car speakers, it just starts iPhone music player going. Total waste of battery! AGH! I hope there's a new update to sync soon!!
  11. Im looking into getting a trailer hitch for my FFH. I want it so I can put a bike rack on it (do not want to hook a bike rack to the trunk) any one know if this is option through a ford dealer or if I can get one 3rd party that will work on the 2010 FFH?
  12. Well the Volt has a small gas powered generator that is used only for charging the battery, so if you forget to plug it in it will still operate. (unless you run out of gas) This is why its called an extended range electric vehicle
  13. Here a press release from January about ford plans for EV's http://www.gizmag.com/ford-outlines-aggres...-in-2011/10739/ I also saw the popular science article. I don't think a Fusion EV will come out until 2012
  14. Yeah, as long as we are alive. Drilling is not the solution to global warming or energy issues. Instead of drilling we should spend money on more fuel efficient vehicles, battery technology/factories, alternative energy and better grid infrastructure. Do we really want to be left behind again? The top battery makers are all out of the US.
  15. Any one has issues with their RPA, the beeping you hear when your backing up? We have a parking space with nothing but our apartment building behind us (about 400 ft away) Some times the instant we back up the RPA sounds a sold beep telling us something is behind us (when there isn't) other times in the same spot it works fine and does the beeps only when we get close to the building. The Sold (really annoying) beep also happens randomly when we back up out of other places and nothing is behind us. Think their might be a sensor malfunction.
