  1. UGH those Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires were on my '11 Sport FWD when I got it, and they were AWFUL. I replaced them right away, even though they had a good amount of tread left. Same as you, my experience was that they spun like crazy under moderate acceleration and in wet or cold weather, they were downright dangerous. Tires are SO IMPORTANT. Consider, too, that if they have poor traction under acceleration, they will have equally poor traction when braking or making an emergency maneuver. I live in MI so I needed an all season tire - I bought these Micheline Cross Climates and they are excellent IMHO. Wheel spin is virtually non existent and the car is downright QUICK off the line. Best purchase I ever made, lol https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Michelin&tireModel=CrossClimate%2B&partnum=245YR8CCPXL&vehicleSearch=true&fromCompare1=yes&autoMake=Ford&autoYear=2011&autoModel=Fusion&autoModClar=Sport#RatingsReviews Luke
  2. Finally got my Mazdaspeed 6 big brake kit installed. Replaced all four corners with new calipers, brake pads, and rotors. Brakes are freaking amazing now - I love it. http://cd3performance.com/Ford-Fusion-All-Years/Ford-Fusion/FF-Brakes/Mazdaspeed-6-Big-Brake-Kit-Fusion-Milan-Zephyr-MKZ
  3. I'm not trying to replicate the sound of a V8 with my V6 Fusion. A V6 will never sound like a V8. But that doesn't mean a V6 cant sound good with nice exhaust system. Porche 911s and 718s, E46 M3, Nissan 370z... hell even a new V6 Camaro with dual mode exhaust sounds great. Have you ever heard at Lotus Evora at wide open throttle? OMG they absolutely scream and sound amazing. Plenty of 4 cyl cars sound pretty good, too. Honda S2000 comes to mind. V8s sound great, but they are simply one flavor on the spectrum of engine sounds.
  4. Yeah, it really isn't very loud at all. Deeper tone, like you said, but that's about it. I'm happy that I can at least hear it now. The factory exhaust was completely silent, really. And I love the 4" tips. I, too, thought it droned a bit when I first put it on... now I dont even notice it. I think if you really wanted to make it louder, you'd have to remove the catalytic converter or the resonator... If you want it loud, cut one or both of them out and run a straight pipe. I've searched YouTube and there are plenty of examples of these cars with the magnaflow exhaust + cut out resonators. This one has a catback magnaflow exhaust and it sounds pretty good to me
  5. Oh damn, that's real low miles. You'll be fine for a long time. Mine has almost 90k on it now.
  6. I found myself in your position after I bought my 2011... I started reading about the water pump issue and it freaked me out... I did some research on extended warranties and then drove to a local ford dealer and bought an extended service plan (https://fordprotect.ford.com/). It covers my engine and transmission for 5 years or 60,000 miles... whichever comes first. If the pump doesnt fail by then, I'll probably just sell the car when the warranty is up. A friend of mine had a 2010 Lincoln MKZ and, just a few months ago, his water pump failed on him and it killed his engine. The car had about 140,000 miles on it.
  7. My 2011 Sport got a bath today. I think she looks pretty good for being 9 years old.
  8. I made some videos... They are not the greatest quality - I was using my phone... But I recorded a video from a dig, and then a "drive by" as best I could... Start up and full throttle launch https://photos.app.goo.gl/uzaFsCkKi4xkvpr59 Drive by with shift into second... the barking tires are unusual https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipM3t7klfd5YP7noQbRReZHyrP0YxaMQWMbDUOmg
  9. Take it to autozone and ask them to scan for the code. They will check it for free.
  10. This would've been nice to have. I like the sound of the borla, but I couldnt find it anywhere... So I bought a Magnaflow system instead. It sounds pretty good. It's kinda mellow with the cats and resonator. I bet if I just did a straight pipe back to the mufflers it would be much louder.
  11. Compustar has about 1,000 different product options / configurations... Why don't you call them and ask if the system you have is programmable to where it will turn the heat on when you start the car? They should be able to tell you if it's possible, and what you need to do to get it functioning.
