  1. Hello. I last week the check engine light came on as I was on my way to work in my 2015 SE 1.5L eco boost. I stopped to get gas on my way home that evening and had trouble getting the car to start after I filled up. It would crank then die... it did this three times then started up strong. I put her on the code reader first thing when I got home and it came back with code P1450. (Unable to bleed up fuel tank vacuum) From my understanding the culprit could be a bad purge valve or some type of solenoid. Has anyone had this issue or have any light to shed on the situation?! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. @bbf2530thanks! Is there any particular brand of leather conditioner you would recommend?
  3. Hello guys! So last night after I came home from work I accidentally left some items on my passenger seat which cause this nasty looking indent. The leather is not ripped at all just slightly stretched and the foam underneath doesn’t seem to be dented in. Does anybody have any advice on getting the leather to back to normal? Or is this something that will go away after a few days in the sun and heat.
  4. Thanks for your advice! Why is it that you recommend a motorcraft filter?
  5. Hello! Two months ago I purchased a 2015 Ford Fusion with a 1.5L ecoboost engine. It is time to change the oil and I’m wondering if there is any brands or specific type of oil I should use. I have lots of Valvoline 5W-20 full synthetic around the garage from a past fusion. Will this oil be a good choice for the 1.5L ecboost or is there something better out there for this type of engine?
  6. Page 298 in my manual is information about ford sync nothing about engine coolant... Capacities and Specifications are on page 291 of the manual.... I’m not sure what you are looking at. It clearly says on this page the 2.5l engine takes 9.2qs. Looks like I will have to look around to find someone who knows what they are talking about with more reliable knowledge....
  7. Huh.. thanks! I watched that video last night. He is only pulling the petcock though..I’m only getting about a gallon of coolant out of my car doing it this way. I guess I will have to take it to a shop
  8. You are fine I’m just sort of at a loss here I have no idea how to get the rest of the old coolant of this system.
  9. 2013 2.5l fusion it says at top of post
  10. Well then how do you drain the engine??
  11. I parked the car facing downwards in the driveway and pulled the petcock. I was told on this form that is all that needs to be done.l to get the coolant out of the system.
  12. Thanks I went ahead and bought the motorcraft coolant from ford. The Manuel says the car takes about 9.3 quarts of coolant.. I went to do a flush and the car only drained about one gallon of old coolant if that....what am I doing wrong here?
  13. What type of coolant is best to use in my car? I have a 2013 fusion 2.5l. Thanks!
  14. The atf was in the cooling system for a bit over a month. I did two super flushes and still nothing but pink strawberry milkshake type liquid is pooping out of the radiator.
  15. Thanks! I drive a 2013 Ford Fusion 2.5l SE . A shop is telling me I need to change out the radiator, heater core and thermostat for $1400 or the engine will get clogged up over time and overheat. I have done some research and it does seem like could get it all out with a good flush. I’m just torn between what to do. I need the car to last me another two years at least.
