  1. So this morning temp was 30. Started the car with Auto to let it warm up. Started driving and engine was engaged for about 10 minutes. Then, when starting from a stop light - I noticed I was on battery only. Engine did not run all the way to work. So maybe - without any notice to the driver - the CPU just decides when it wants to disable the EV NOW function? Also wondering if this could have anything to do with charging the 12V battery? I can't seem to find anything about what system might protect that charge. My research has just identified the charge happens ONLY when the engine is running. thanks
  2. That is what I am seeing too. I have no warnings, alerts or general messages in the Message Center - other than "EB Now not available". I have seen this issue with older battery enabled Fords, with no resolution other than one guy who was able to reset his Battery Age in the CPU. I wouldn't expect this to be an issue with a 2017 car.
  3. 2017 Fusion energi - 20,550 miles Does anyone know what the triggers are for disabling the EV Now mode? My Dash indicates "EV Now Not Available" all the time, even with a fully charged battery. Here are some of the things I have seen on the web: > Temperature - Winter is here and the temp has been in the 40s and now 30s. will that do it? It was staying in battery only mode a few weeks ago when the temp was about the same. I have driven the car on some of the warmer days with no serious heating turned on (low fan - not in auto heat, no rear window heat, no seat heaters on, 68 degrees cabin temp). > Old Gas - I purchase this car used and drove it about 100 miles on highway to get it home. Filled the tank. Since then I put about 400 miles on it, mostly in EV only mode. Used almost 1/4 tank of fuel in 5 weeks. (one thread said old gas can be an issue and that filling the tank would make a difference - it did not). > Battery Temperature - my car lives outside. So it never gets a chance to get too warm, in this weather. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
