Bangster, another question. The reviews seem to suggest the 2015 has more transmission issues and that the cabin is snugger, visibility is even worse in 2015 Do you notice any of these differences? Also was 2015 better year than 2014 (saw so many bad reviews on 2014)? Haven't been able to find this info clearly in searching here. Also does "aftermarket tint" mean you had this installed or that they just came with the car when you bought it because of where you live?

Bangster, thanks so much for this detailed reply. Did you tint the windows on the cars or do they actually come that way with dark tint? I've been driving my friend's car and he said he had them tinted which I find really does compromise visibility in bad ways. I thought this was an option I could choose to not get or even have removed by a mechanic..

I was hoping to buy a used 2012 Fusion but I'm seeing there are better deals to be had for the newer cars in my area. Can anyone weigh in on whether 2014 -2016 are as good? what problems to be aware of esp 2014 and 2016? Are there more problems with these more recent years i.e. I have read about jerky transmissions, worse visibility, experienced an uncomfortable seatbelt in the 2016..? Thanks

I haven't driven any with this problem. I've driven one that I really like so far. Most of it was research I did. So I appreciate the feedback that there are not ALL fusions. Just some. Hard to discern this from online reviews which I suppose are the ones who are unhappy and take the time to write in. And yes I was asking about the 2.5 I4 not the V6. Thanks!

Hi, I'm new to Fords and really to cars. I want to buy a used car - and love the way the Fusion 2012 drives ( love the handling, seat comfort, solidity of the car) so far. But, I have read all the horror stories about the transmission flares and bad shifting on this site and elsewhere. Has anyone figured out any remedies that resolve the transmission issue? now that it's 9-10 years later? Any chance Ford will actually recall these cars? (doubtful I am sure) How risky is it to buy a used 2012 ? Anyone NOT had this problem.... Lastly, any other years that are better and do not have this issue - earlier or later or do they all have it? Thanks!
