I heard about this "upgrade" a couple of weeks ago... or so. I like using the MyFordMobile app, but I don't like using it enough to fork over several hundos to enable it. My local dealership had never heard about this CSP 21B09... until I asked him about it and gave him the "CSP 2109" identifier. It took him probably 10 or 15 minutes to locate it on his computer, then he told me the story that they'll install the new modem, but I have to buy it... at full retail of nearly $500 (which is what he told me). It seems kind of fishy that they gave us little or no notice about losing this handy vehicle feature which we paid for when we bought our Fusion Energie's. And if you try to implement "FordPass" on a Fusion Energie, it sends you over to the soon-to-be-obsolete "MyFordMobile." Ford, if you're reading this, "There's gotta be a better way of doing business." This sucks blue beans.

Thank you for all your information and suggestions... ? This afternoon, I fiddled around with the Sync "settings" and noticed that the "Rearview Camera" (or whatever they called it) had two "on-off" slider-type settings, and both were set to the right. (On?) The lower one was something to do with "Delay," so I switched it to the left. (Off?) Anyway, it seems to perform "properly" now... at least as "the way I'd expect it to work." When I put the car in "Reverse," I see the rear view on the screen. When I shift out of "Reverse" into any other gear setting, the rear view disappears. Bingo! That said, I can't imagine why anyone would want to see the rear view in the Sync screen while in any driving situation besides backing up...

Greetings, Gentlemen... I've had my 2019 Fusion Energie for about 18 months now, and I've only added about 10k miles to the odometer thus far... thanks, COVID. Recently, a minor kerfuffle has arisen concerning the rearview camera; I'll start the car, put it in "Reverse" to exit the garage, and the Sync screen properly shows the view out the rear. Then, to proceed down the street, I'll rotate the gear selector to "Drive," but the Sync screen still shows the view out the rear. A whack on the face near the 8-inch screen doesn't usually help. If I put the car in "Neutral," the rearview screen usually still stays stuck in "reverse view." Putting it in "Park" will usually change the screen back to the proper Audio, Navigation, or whatever Sync view. At first glance, this would sound like a sticking relay somewhere within the system, but since I know absolutely zilch about the Sync hardware, (and precious little about the rest of it), I don't want to make that call. Any ideas or comments about this situation? For whatever it's worth, my Sync is Version 3.4, Build 21098. Maps Version NA 2 20 As of last night, it self reported as "Up To Date"

I know quite a number of knowledgeable people who would give Consumer Reports a "Trustworthy rating" of considerably worse than "dreadful," along with a "Biased rating" of definitely "Far Eastern."

Witness the F-150 Lightning, the F-150 Hybrid, the Mustang Mach-E, the Escape Hybrid & Plug-In, and the forthcoming Ford Maverick (with a standard Hybrid engine). Like it or not, the future is electric. As much as I abhor the guy's personality, Ellen Musk did wake the country (the world?) to practical electric vehicles. If Ford had proposed their new battery-electric F-150 looking like the Tesla Cybertruck, they'd have been laughed out of business... but Musk, with his legions of adherent followers, has a claimed million of "reservations" for that 4-wheeled abomination.

The USB ports, 12 Volt accessory outlets, and the 120 Volt "Convenience Outlet" will vary in location depending upon the year and model of the Fusion. My 2019 has the two USB's and a 12 Volt accessory outlet as per Mr. rp1428's photograph. My Fusion also has a 12 Volt accessory outlet on the back of the console, for the rear seat passengers' convenience. Mine has no 120 Volt outlet, though. In my meanderings, I've seen some Fusions with USB outlet inside the console (good for charging a cell phone), and one USB under the climate control, and maybe some other configurations. Back to the original question: I, too, wonder if both USB's are active... I've had some difficulties when I plug my cell phone into the USB...

Quite an interesting vehicle concept... I'd love to see the interior layout... is there room under the floor for a big ol' battery to make it a plug-in Hybrid? The kinked roofline reminds me of a Rambler station wagon of the middle 1950s... Is it my imagination, or did they stretch the Mondeo/Fusion's wheelbase an inch or two?

Beautiful car! That's almost the car I was looking for when I bought mine... I wanted a Platinum Energie edition with the Ceramic interior... But such a car was not to be had while we were looking... and we bought a 2019 Titanium Energie edition. Rather than that lovely Ceramic interior, or car has the "Halloween Interior"... Orange and Black seats. And our Titanium edition has a lot less gadgets... like the 115 volt outlet, the self-parking, powered adjustable steering column, sunroof, and all sorts of other stuff that Ford de-contented. Mr. DudeWithAFuse, I can't give you a definitive answer about your proposed engine swap. What I CAN tell you is that it's going to cost you a lot of money, and it won't be easy to do. The F-150's RWD engine probably wouldn't be a simple bolt-up to the Fusion transaxle without a lot of adapter-ing. The 2.0 transaxle isn't stout enough to handle the added torque and horsepower of the 2.7, anyway. If you want a V-6 powered Fusion, have you considered trading your beloved Titanium AWD for a Fusion Sport? The Sport already has a tougher transaxle, and the swap work is all done for you. My guess is that you'd probably come out an awful lot of money ahead, after considering all the costly electronic ECU modifications you'd need to do, in addition to all the mechanical changes. If trading for a different vehicle doesn't appeal to you, maybe you could consider some power modifications to your present 2.0 EcoBoost engine; there are quite a number of mods available to add some "more beans" to your 2.0 engine. Mr. 19hybrid, Just so you know... I ordered these from AliExpress sometime back last Spring, and I wasn't happy with them... they looked like an OEM knock-off, but certainly not OEM quality. I think I paid about $15 or $20 for the 4-wheel set. A set of genuine Ford molded-style mudflaps is sticker priced at about $100, give or take a few bucks. Ultimately, I bought a set from a Ford dealership parts department on eBay. But they were genuine Ford, in Ford packaging... but I can't recall what I paid for them. Best of luck with whatever you decide to do...

I have a 2019 Titanium Energie. I bought it CPO in January with 9,300 miles on it. I plug it in religiously every night, and now it has 13,801 miles on it; Incidentally, I have purchased $62.00 worth of gasoline for it since I bought it... and the tank is currently full.

My right hand is bandaged and it's kind of fat across the fingers. I hope the doctor takes the wrappings off tomorrow... but until then, I feel like I have a boxing glove on my right paw... Consequently, every time I turn the steering wheel, I bump the wiper stalk with my fat bandage, causing a swipe (or a few) of the wipers across the windshield. This is annoying... I wonder what it will be like this winter when I'm wearing my lined leather gloves? I think the wiper stalk is positioned too close to the steering wheel... there's only about 1 3/4" clearance between the stalk and the steering wheel rim. And adjusting the "tilt" of the steering column, of course, moves the whole column so the wiper stalk never moves relative to the steering wheel... I hope these damned bandages come off tomorrow...

If I'm not mistaken, the 2013 and later Fusions don't use the 3.5 engine, do they? I thought the 2013+ Fusions all used a 4 cylinder engine of various displacements until the 2017 Sport arrived with the 2.7 EcoBoost V-six. Please correct me if I'm mistaken... Having said that, the 3.5 & 3.7 does, indeed, possess a water pump that's difficult to $ervice... (Ask a Taurus owner...)
