  1. So, yes, it is the 2.5L. Sorry owned it about a month. Still learning about it. 2.5L I4 FI DOHC 16V NF4
  2. So it is the 2.3L and yes, the heater works fine. I originally thought the same thing, that the thermostat was stuck open. But, even on out coldest days (I live in the upper mountains of Utah, so it gets pretty cold.) The heater is just fine. As far as troubleshooting, there are no codes, no lights, car runs just fine, though the idle is a bit high. (around 1,250) The gauge itself appears to be working. As I mentioned, during the "boot up" it swings to the top and comes back down like the others. It has been more of logical elimination of things it could be.
  3. I made a vain attempt to see if any posts have been made about this. (Meaning I went back four pages) I have a 2011 SE and I am learning all the time now how tech gets in the way of an automobile. That being said, I understand the tech. I am looking for the location of the COOLANT temp sensor. I have searched in vain and only found things on the Evap (A/C) Sensor location. (Which from the video is one hell of a process.) Are they the same item? To be clear, my car is not overheating, nor is it to cold. The gauge on the cluster operates fine during the initial boot up, It goes max and comes back down like all the others. However, once it is started and been driven, the needle never budges. It stays on cold constantly. On a side note. This was not all at once. It was working fine, then for about 2 weeks it would slowly begin to show the engine was colder and colder, until it just finally stopped registering.
