So last week I started having a problem where my trans would start slipping. I could start my car and drive it for awhile and it be just fine then all the sudden it would clunk out of overdrive. When I would take off from a stop it would slip like it was stuck in 2nd gear. I would throw the car in neutral and shut it off then restart and it would go in gear and drive and shift great for awhile. Now it does it constantly and it’s not driveable. I changed the fluid and filter which didn’t help. I’m at a loss at this point. I feel like it has to be something electrical And I’m a mechanical person but I’m no trans specialist. Hopefully someone has a solution or at least a direction to investigate. 2009 Fusion 2.3l 5 speed automatic. Thanks.
