Hello,
Thanks for taking the time to read and help! I have a 2014 Ford Fusion (1.5L) that AC is not working on.
The fuse (#22 10-amp) and the relay (#33) are both good. I tested the fuse, and swapped the relay with the horn relay, and the horn works, so I know the relay is good.
My brother-in-law used a power probe at the relay panel to engage the clutch, so I know it’s not a power connection. My suspicion is a pressure switch on the low-pressure side not sending signal to the relay. There is plenty of refrigerant in the system, perhaps too much, but I wanted to see if I could trigger the clutch.
1.) are there any other fuses or relays that I could check?
2.) the AC indicator on the instrument panel illuminates and stays on
3.) where do I find the pressure switch on the AC system?
4.) what else could it be? I read an article about an evap temp switch that involves ripping the dash apart, and I wanted to try the pressure switch first.
Thank you for your time!
