I have a 2008 Milan that I am working on. The PO had been having trouble trying to get it working right so I have my hands full. The car starts just fine and idles pretty good with a very slight shake. When you put it in gear you can get moving but the car will not accelerate. The throttle responds and tries to increase speed but very little. I managed to get up to 28mph by letting off the gas and allowing the trans to shift but it just fights any acceleration. When stopped I cannot rev above about 2400rpm where it just struggles and fights back. The battery had been disconnected so there were no codes listed. I am using Forscan btw. The only code I get now is P1719 which is for torque signal. All could and plugs are new from previous owner. They had Ford replace the PCM last fall. I swapped in a known good throttle body and told it to relearn adaptations but nothing changed. Fuel pressure is normal, I help my hands on the exhaust pipes and have plenty of pressure fighting me so at the moment I don't think I have clogged cats. All fuel trims appear to be normal as do the throttle position readings etc. I am sort of at a loss as to what next. I don't give up on things so I will figure this out but I am not wanting to throw parts at it until I have a good idea what will work.
Any thoughts or similar experience?
Could this be Limp Mode that it is stuck in? If so, would I get a code for that with Forscan?
Thanks for any ideas.
P.S. can I post a video of how it runs?
