  1. I had a buddy who had about 6000 tracks on a hard disc, that took about 5 minutes IIRC.
  2. 4-wheel alignment is required on any vehicle that doesn't have a solid rear axle. The only cars sold in the US/Canada today with solid rear axles are the Grand Marquis and Mustang. Pickup trucks and a few SUVs still have them as well. I'd even still recommend 4-wheel alignment on those anyway, since the thrust angle can be off, causing the car to drive down the road "sideways".
  3. I'm pretty sure that's only for non-Nav systems though. The 2010 Nav Job2 software will have the capability though.
  4. Nope, the only way is to burn them to a CD in regular music format and then install.
  5. I think what happened is that Ford didn't really anticipate the enormous positive reaction to Sync. Originally it was planned to be rolled out slowly on just a few vehicles with low take-rates. But once it became popular, they decided to bring it into more vehicles. But they already had the Nav system development underway so they could only integrate it so much, considering they are different systems made by different suppliers.
  6. Doesn't the MKZ come with Easy Entry? That moves the seat back and forth everytime you get in the car, even if there's just one driver. If the motors are designed for that, then surely they can handle your situation.
  7. But as mentioned above, the Fusion has shocks, not struts. This is more than just a technicality in this case. A strut reacts the lateral loads of the suspension at the top of the strut. But a double wishbone suspension like the Fusion will react the lateral load at the uppar A-arm, which is much lower. So a "strut bar" is going to be much less effective than on a strut suspension car, just because it's further away from the actual load.
  8. All of the Nav database is on the hard drive, the maps, the POIs, the settings, the software, so all of that would have to be made compatible. I don't really understand the point of this, if you really want to hard-wire a bigger disc into the system, why not just use the second USB port and use SYNC to control it?
