Thanks for the input, everyone. I just paid for a coolant flush yesterday as the original coolant was filthy. As of today, the coolant level is right on the line, so it will be easy to monitor and see if it drops.

As a new 2010 Sport owner, I tried to exercise my due diligence in picking a car with no prominent issues. I thought I was doing well by getting the 3.5 V6, but after my purchase, I'm worried regarding the posts about the water pump failures and it ruining the engine. I'm curious if this is a widespread issue or if its pretty rare (i.e. should I be concerned)?

I like the Akkon headlights and tailights. As a new owner myself, I think that will be one of my first mods to help distinguish it from all the other Fusions on the highway. So far, the only mod I've done is a Steeda Strut Tower Brace which helped the handling immensely. I'm going to get some touch up paint today and cover up a few chips/scratches the previous owner neglected. Other than that, I changed out the air filter and cabin air filter and they both were filthy for only having 34,000 miles on them!

Thanks, I drove six hours to Atlanta to pick it up. I couldn't believe that it was a 2010 but only had 34,000 miles on it. I asked the salesman if it was owned by a nymphomaniac that only used the back seat? ?

Hello All, I just picked up a 2010 Sport and have really been enjoying it. I had a supercharged Saturn Ion Red Line prior to this, and while it was a little faster, the Sport has many more amenities and rides so much smoother. I've been reading the threads and am looking forward to modifying the Fusion to make it on par with my Saturn.
