  1. If is not the fan. No fan keeps turning after 4 minutes of the car being turned off. Besides, I measured ho long the fan kept turning after the engine off, x-bar = 17.33 seconds. If there is a clue, anything at all that is not the cooling fan, please let me know.
  2. Just a couple of days ago, the car made the same noise a good few minutes after the car engine was turned off. Definitely, no cooling fan was turning since it only a few seconds for the fan to come to a complete stop. So please, if anyone had a similar issue, point me in the right direction. Thank you.
  3. Thanks for the insights. Here is more information. Sel, v6, 110k, no idea about the transmission (the one that comes from factory), fwd. It is hard to determine where the sound is coming. I'm either inside or walking away from it. I've found myself patiently waiting with open hood, but never happens. It is loud and sounds like a coyote hawl.
  4. Hello all, I am new to the forum and would like to apologize if this issue has been posted somewhere else. If it has, please point me in the right direction. Over the last few weeks, my 2009 Fusion started to make a squealing noise that I have not heard before. It is totally strange. Sometimes it makes it when driving, sometimes when the engine is idling, and sometimes it makes the same noise a few minutes after the car has been turned off. The car drives well, with no performance issues of any kind, no lights showing on my dashboard. This is driving me nuts. So please, if this is a known issue, give me a clue as to what to look for and start troubleshooting. Thanks in advance.
