  1. My replacement is now 3 years old and it's fine. Just a bad batch and poor quality control. Al
  2. Another route would be to contact your dealer and ask him to deal with ford on your behalf. If he’s a descent sort he will take care of you. But don’t count on it.
  3. It’s worth a try. Ford should have recalled the cars made with this batch of material. If that fails get a carpet reminant and cut it to fit the shelf. It should work fine.
  4. Rechecked fluid level and don’t see any leaks. In engine or on the ground. The cold fluid level is about 3/8 inch below minimum mark. The above 1/3 to 1/2 level is inaccurate. Seems like a slow leak. When the dealer added fluid last February I don’t know to what level it was added and I don’t know whether he did a pressure test. interesting: when I closed the hood the hood ajar warning appeared on my dashboard. this happened 3 times even though the hood was securely closed. The next time I slammed down the hood and the warning disappeared. Anyone know where the sensor is located?
  5. I just noticed the engine coolant tank was at 1/3 to 1/2 full. Dealer noticed coolant was down last February (about 9 months ago) and filled the tank. That was about the three year point on my 2020 fusion. Is this normal for the 1.5 l engine? if there is a problem does the 5 year power train warranty cover this issue? helixal
  6. 2022, 2021 and 2020 updates were at no charge. I guess ford wants to squeeze as much as they can out of their customers. Google maps is updated continuously and they don’t charge anything. Waze doesn’t charge on my iPhone either. Really funny since Waze is the navigation backbone of the ford sync nav.
  7. I just went to "syncnavigation.com" to download the latest map updates. They now want $109 for the download! Are others experiencing the same
  8. Thanks for the heads up. NA2.22 looks like last years update Though.
  9. I just updated my nav maps. My versions screen says N.A. 221. Is this the latest version. Perhaps someone who has already updated with the latest maps could look at their screen and tell if theirs is the same. thanks, AL
  10. In response to fussion2020. My rear deck was replaced 2 years ago and it is holding up well. The original failed within 10 months.
  11. At this point it seems ford should contact those who received the defective rear shelf and offer to replace it even beyond the 3 year limit. Several here have had this problem which is indicative of the greater problem among non forum owners. This is not a one off failure ford installed a defective lot of material and should be proactive in making good on its product.
  12. my bad for calling it on/off instead of start/stop. Now that we are on the same page back to my original question how long before everything shuts down while in the autostop status. BTW - ford's instructions say nothing about turning off AutoStop/Start when performing a SYNC or NAV maps update. It did work for me while autostop/start was enabled. AL
  13. Bbf what i was describing ia 2020 model which has auto on/off. When I come to a stop light the engine stops turning when I lift my foot off the brake the engine starts up again. So when I stop and shift into park the engine is not turning but everything else is on. Al
  14. “ As an FYI, the engine shut-off is 30 minutes by default” My understanding of the above sentence is: from the last time the engine is running but the ignition is on the entire system will shut down after 30 minutes. So if I come to a stop put the car in park the engine is now not turning ( and don’t touch the start button) the system will remain on for 30 minutes then shut off.
  15. Upgrade went smoothly in just under 30 minutes. I made a couple of stops during the upgrade with the ignition on and the engine off in park Ala auto on off. I assume ford requires the engine to be running so that the car doesn’t shut down automatically after a programmed timeout when only the ignition is on but the engine is not running. Does anyone what that is the time out duration. Al
