Yes it is but I think it is the main computer in the car if it is it is covered by 8 year / 80k mile federal emissions warranty I believe. I cannot figure out what is making the car not "talk" on the network. So before I make a mistake and mess it up more or worse I'm going to have it taken to Ford. Still need to learn the CANBUS network stuff cause it is really expensive to have the dealership fix anything if I cannot myself.

I'm frustrated is all car is only 3 years old and have had nothing buy problems from the day me and my wife bought it.(we got it used for 12k with 32k miles on it) It's over warranty and the cost for Ford to work on it is really sick 165$ an hour in California. Ford used to be a good family oriented and run company what has happened to it? They have one of the worst warranty's of any car maker. If it was up to just me we would have never bought this car but happy wife happy life right. The OBD read outs might as well be Sanskrit to me. I did understand that there had to be an issue with the cars pc's talking to one other though so I got to this point. I'll figure it out just taking a long ass time. Wish I could just rip all that tech crap out of the car get back to how cars were before I was born lol but I can work on them good old American cars this might as well say Windows PC on the side of it LOL. OH and BTW I see you have an MKZ 2018 how is that car the color mix sounds really nice.

Still no one to help? Good thing I don't wait for help. So I have found that my DLC has a resistance of 120 Ohms on pins 6 and 14 that is bad. So my network isn't working so the cars computers wont read each other. Anyone have a wire diagram for this? I cannot find one with online search been trying for 3 days now. Even if only a link please really need it thanks

An update, went and got car battery tested and had one bad cell in it so got a new one for car. Placed it in car and bam no change. Pressed in brake pushed start and short crank and stops wont do anything cept show cluster lights of all the system falters and wont let me reset battery or erase DTC's. So I put battery on my charger and will try again on the marrow. If nothing might take alternator in to get checked next and go head butt the used car guy I bought this from. Nothing but issue after issue with this Gem of a car. I liked driving the rental one me and wife got should have bought that car lol.

I am a member of a couple ford fusion forums and I have a post here also but my car is doing so strange stuff and it doesn't seem to make a lot of scene to me. I thought I had fixed it but it happened again the other day, I know I'll be told to go to a dealership but no money to do so right now. It is 165$ here just for a diagnostic witch is nuts. I have physically traced every inch of wire I could see and removed covers to do so and cannot find a short, burnt or exposed wire anyplace. Only thing I can figure is the aftermarket amp and sub is somehow doing this so I am going to disconnect it and try to reset the codes and wait to see if it happens again. drolds1 where can I see the 8/80 emissions warranty at? All I can see on Ford is a 60k powertrain warranty, and I'm passed that now. I think I need to get Forscan cause my reader is just not able to do enough for me.

LOL I'll be doing that later today I have kids and things go under the seats all the time and by logic alone anything is possible. Thanks is there anyway to coheres a Tech guy to come look at this posting BTW?

Ok so I had some time this afternoon and I made an appointment with my not so local Ford dealership the one I prefer in Victorville, Ca. is booked for almost 3 months solid. That is crazy BTW. Anyways I got the new battery in after resetting the codes with the old battery in it. And after then new one was put in started the car up to run a OBD scan and 2 new codes came but one old one stayed U300A-29 stayed, new codes are B00a0-68 and U0401-81. So I'm thinking some way the PCM is damaged but how? I'm not a person who is never wrong so could be a short also but all the faults also showed on the interment cluster again also and the car died. The battery also seems to be draining when car is connected to it and off don't know what that is all about. My appointment isn't tell the 10th of next month so guess I'll be walking the 22 miles to my town from my house for a bit that will be healthy though huh LOL. Have read other answers online and for almost every car with almost same issue as mine it ends up being a speed wheel sensor. Mine on the driver side somehow the bracket on the strut was bent into my inner sidewall rubbing the tire, so I bent it back a bit to fix the rubbing, maybe I should replace that sensor what you guys think ??

It wasn't the battery I replaced it and poof all the same again. Is there a way to clear the cars memory by unplugging the battery, some set amount of time ? And now I'm kind of hoping it's the PCM lol. That would be the second thing the 8/80 warranty has fixed though. Me and my lady (more so her now) love this car but I'm thinking bout trading it in now for a Chevy!! J/K Can anyone here help me with the part where it may be a shorted wire, like how to trace it or how to find it to start with? I'm not to bad with the mechanical parts on a car but the electrical part is lil different. I am very DIY inclined but also know if it looks like another language it is and find a translator. If I have a start point though I may have some luck, I can give it a try for a day or 2 until I figure out how I'm getting my car to the dealership I prefer to have work on my car it's only 2 towns over from me LOL. Man if only this car had a 60's, 70's or 80's motor in it I would be goldened. It was what 7 to 12 wires for the main harness in those days

I was heading into my town from my house today to run errands when my car just stalled and a lot of the lights on the dash came on. 1 Blind spot system fault/ 2 steering assist fault/ 3 pre collision assist not available/ 4 A wrench that said see manual/ 5 Cross traffic system fault. So I connected my code reader no DTC in system check so I checked ABS got codes there and in KOER and others. Here are the codes P1780-00, P06e4, P1703-00, U2002-96, U300A-29. I don't really understand all this code stuff. Is this telling me my PCM is bad ? And if so how did this happen, and if not what is bad on my car ? I need some help here please. I think this is going to cost me a lot from my pocket if it can get fixed.

Around 63k miles. I'm going to change the brake pads in the morning and then put latex paint on the inner sidewall of the driver side tire, drive it out my driveway and back in to see what has paint on it from rubbing so I can see if it can be fixed too. This is the only idea I really have to figure the problem out. I have tried all the things it has said to do on youtube to test the front end and the CV axel's and they all seem fine according to the " Tests".

Whenever I turn the steering wheel in my car there is a ticking sound. I went and had the car inspected where I normally do and I was told it is because my brake pads are " Cracked". I have never had an issue with the place that looked at my car, so I looked at the pads myself today and it does look like there is a crack going the full length of the pads on my driver side, and that is where the sound is coming from. I figured it was a CV axel but I have no leaks from any of the boots on my suspension. So could this really be the cause or do I need to look someplace else? Also just noticed on the driver side front tire the inner sidewall is scored bad may be that it was under inflated cause I don't see anything that it was rubbing on .

Got another question my cat is bad but the part is on backorder with no ETA from Ford. Can I get the dealership to provide me a rental because my car is not getting to speed right because the cat is plugging up more now. Again it is under the emissions warranty for my Cat being bad.

Got an appointment next week hope its the converter lol
