  1. I brought it in and spoke with the service manager at the dealership who remember my original issue and the two others that happened after. He admitted that the other two parts were all part of the drive train and since the PTU Assembly is covered under the 2 year Ford Motor Parts warranty, the labor is too. So at least there is that. They are going to look at my drive shaft and see if it fully needs replacement or just the seals. They will be checking the CV Axle to make sure it needs replacement. If it does, then that may be the only part I will need to pay for. In which it isn't an issue for me if it is worn out, I just want to make sure they didn't put it on incorrectly and it was loose because of that. They will call me once they've had a chance to look at it and see what is happening.
  2. I brought my car to a local Ford dealership in April 2021 because I had some sort of transmission fluid leaking in two spots. Turns out I needed to have the PTU replaced and the part was on backorder. End of May the part came in and dealer fixed it. $2,400 later, I went to leave and noticed my check engine light was on. Went back inside and when they checked the error, they realized my O2 sensor failed as they needed to get rough with the rust under my car to replace the PTU Assembly. Had to order that part too. They removed the old O2 sensor and I had to drive a car with the check engine light on for 3 weeks before that part came in. Went to get it done and in the process of putting the new one in, they pushed too hard or something and the part the O2 sensor plugs into now has a hole and the O2 sensor was broken. They manage to get another O2 sensor but now they have to fix the hole so they sent me to a muffler mechanic to get that fixed. Finally pick my car up at the end of July and other than a rumble when my car starts, it seems good. I don't drive my car much at all (as in since end of May - now its first week of September - I have driven a total of about 2500 miles). Now I have a shaking in the car between starting the drive and 30 mph. It goes away as soon as I hit 40mph, so I bring it to a different mechanic and now I am being told that not only is the PTU Assembly that was replaced at the end of May leaking, but my CV Axle is loose and my Drive Shaft has an oil leak. The 3 different mechanics that I spoke to in the shop all stated that whoever worked on my vehicle at the dealership would have known about these 2 issues when they replaced the PTU Assembly. I just need to know if this is correct and what I need to do. I am furious at all the issues have happened for this PTU Assembly replacement. I have to go back to that same dealership to deal with the PTU Assembly since it shouldn't be leaking, but they have already messed up a couple of things already and I don't really want them to touch it. Oh and the mechanics I spoke to said the level of rust under my car was not alarming and actually is less than they'd expect.
