  1. Thank you. Yeah I plan on making a service appointment but wanted to see if anyone else had this problem and what it actually was. As I heard it, it was a common problem but I actually can't find anything anywhere about it. Been searching for days.
  2. My wife has a brand new 2020 Fusion Titanium with 6000 miles on it. When climbing mountain passes or grades between 25 and 45 mph, the car develops a smoldering smell from the engine cavity. Its only noticeable if you stop but it is definitely a smoldering smell. No warning lights and its not overheating. I want to say its like the labels on the exhaust (because they never remove them) but the car is almost two years old with several 2-3 road trips on it so the labels should be gone by burnt off by now. This has happened twice now. Once over Independence Pass and more recently (this weekend) over the Grand Mesa. I have heard that the 2.0L ecoboost in the Fusions had issues with "overheating" while climbing mountain grades but this is definitely not a normal overheating issue per say, but something is getting hot enough to make it "smolder" I say "smolder" because it smells just like paper that smolders and has no flames. They is no visible issues (smoke, flame, etc) other than the smell. Any ideas would be appreciated.
