  1. I've done some research, but haven't found any answer that pertain to my situation. Last night on the hwy, my car threw the code p0299, underboost condition. My waste gate has been rattling for the last few weeks on cold starts and decel. I'm 40 miles from home and would rather not spend money on a tow truck, since I just bought a new turbo this morning. The car didn't go into limp mode, would I be okay driving it home? Or should I get it towed? It's all highway driving.
  2. Yes, brand new from Ford. 3 year unlimited mileage. I scheduled to take it in Wenesday to have them take a look. I tend to check it every couple of days. Good idea about documenting it, I'll post an update when I get an answer. Hopefully nobody else is experiencing this.
  3. Late October of last year, I had to get the engine replaced on my Fusion titanium. January 19th, I went to empty my catch can and check the oil. The oil wasn't even touching the dipstick. At that point I had only put 3k miles on the new engine. Decided to take it to get the oil changed. I checked the oil level yesterday and it's at the minimum mark. Is this common with new engines or should I be expecting another engine replacement?
  4. 76k and some change. I bought the car with pretty low mileage in 2019.
  5. Unfortunately, I fell victim to coolant intrusion on my 2016 2.0. The dealership is still waiting for the engine, 6 weeks after it was dropped off. My service advisor sent me a "parts and labor" pdf so I could see an estimate of what its gonna cost me. The "service engine assembly" part number is FP5Z-6006-AARM. It doesn't say "remanufactured" or "new". Can anyone tell me if this block is going to have the same coolant slit in the cylinder head, or will it have the weep holes? I definitely don't want to fork out $7500 just to have the same issue 2 years down the road. TIA
  6. Recently I’ve noised my 2016 fusion titanium awd making a rattling noise upon cold start up. It’s gone within a few seconds and sounds like a loose heat shield. Today, after I was done washing my car, my exhaust was gurgling so I assumed I got some water in the exhaust. I got in started it up (engine was already up to temp) and gave it a little rev to get the water out. When I let off, I heard somewhat of a grinding noise. So I did it again, and again and again and again to see if I was just being paranoid. It doesn’t matter what rpm I rev it to, the grinding is there once I let off. Once it drops back to idle the grinding is gone. The video is me sitting in the driver seat pointing the camera at the ground. It sounds as though it’s coming from the rear center of the engine. Should I be worried? https://share.icloud.com/photos/053k2uRSYNzCwll13Br0Vd-rw#Loganville
