  1. It is the original set up. The thermostat is located on the left front side of the block. The location where the thermostat would be located if the incorrect hose is used is at the top right of the block. There is no indication or spot for a thermostat or any item. I have concerns about leaking, pressure change or air bubbles if I plug it. Not sure what could be used to plug it.
  2. I have a 2010 Fusion with a 2.5l 4 cyl. I used the VIN to find the heater/coolant hose I need. The original hose I took off of the car is stamped 9E53-18C266. When searched with this number or the VIN the replacement hose comes up as a KH 525. This hose has a short line/stub in the middle of it that the original hose does not have. The rest of the hose is correct. I went Ford Dealer gave who looked it up by the part number and VIN. The hose that came in has the extra piece in the middle. He said it is the right part per the VIN. I showed him the original hose. He said he doesn't understand why the replacement has the extra line/stub in the middle. I've posted a pic of the KH 525 circled the extra line my hose does not have and a pic of the original hose that came off of the car.
