  1. Perfect! These diagrams are great. Where did you get them? I will give this a shot and let you know how it goes. By the way, Thank you! And great job!
  2. I would really like to see the diagram! The relay option seems like a good plan.

  4. So I fixed it. Someone did the add a resistor in line to bypass the evap temperature sensor and did it wrong. (I guess I didn't notice sense I was only using the Air conditioning) Anyway I hooked it back up as originally intended and... All is well. I re-ran the Power + Defrost then Power reset deal and now it all works. See picture for how the lights and codes should look after reset.
  5. Recently my 2010 Ford Fusion won't change temperature or air flow location (Defrost, floor, etc). I read that pressing Defrost + Power Then Power again would reset the climate control unit. When I pressed this combo, the display shows the fan strength and the car cycles through hot to cold and defrost to dash to floor. Once fished the radio shows the following codes. LL E5 or 11 E5 and L5 or 15 (see pictures). Alas this did not fix my issue but it does prove the motors work and nothing is stuck. One other note... The rear defrost would not come on either but after doing the reset above, it works again (well at least the light comes on now.) I've read horror stories about changing sensors, controls, and actuators to no avai. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 2010 Ford Fusion Vin # 3FAHP0HA5AR380598
  6. Yeah... LOL! I had a nearly 20 year old car with rust on the pinch weld and everywhere else around it. I didn't care until I got a flat tire. I thought the jack was sinking into the ground but I was on black top... then I realized it was the car that was sinking in to the jack lol! Man that sucked trying to use the factory jack on some other part of the car. But I have the ultimate solution to all rust on all cars. I am going to place a sign on my car that outlaws rust! (NO RUST ALLOWED ON THIS VEHICLE) Ban Rust!
  7. I have a device that requires to be plugged in to the cigarette lighter. I don't drive the car everyday sometimes maybe not even for a week or so. If I forget to unplug it, the battery will die. In my old GMC Truck i hooked up the cigarette lighter to the wire that feeds the radio when the key is on and that worked fine. I planned to do the same here... I tried to find the same wire on this radio but I'll be honest I only found one radio wire being fed 12v and it was constant. Anyway... Does anyone have any ideas how to get the lighter to shut off with the key? 2010 Ford Fusion SE 2.5L (On foreign vehicles the power to the cigarette lighter was killed with the ignition key which is my goal)
  8. The rust I am seeing in almost identical to the top photo on Robinsone's Post from August 31, 2021. I'm wondering if the sun roof drains in this area for two reasons. Could this be an additional cause of the rust? And two once spring hits, I plan to do a "at 10 yard it looks great", very backyard rust repair where you use expanding foam to fill in the huge hole and finish it off with some janky Bondo and spray paint. My biggest concern with this is I don't want to clog the sunroof drains. I'll probably end up running water down the drain to see where it starts draining but if you know, it would make me feel better to know ahead of time!
  9. Thanks! I am checking this out now! Thanks for pointing this out.
  10. I have a 2010 Fusion SE with a sunroof. Below both rear doors by there is an unusual amount of rust compared to the rest of the car. (About a 3x12" hole / damage) I'm wondering if the sun roof drains in this area for two reasons. One is that the cause? And two I plan to do a very backyard rust repair where you use expanding foam to fill in the huge hole and I don't want to clog the sunroof drains.
