  1. Had same issue. You are not going to like this but it sounds like a starter issue. That fuse is a 30 amp and has to be a 30 amp. Take the started off and have AutoZone test it they will do that for free. My starter was newish but I put a new one on and it was sounding fine when it would start but the new starter fixed it.
  2. Problem Started a few months ago. Began with when starting the car the car would start would release key and starter would keep running for a few seconds after motor started. this would only happen very sporadically that turned in to no crank with the starter relay making a click with a clicking from under the dash. Had to hold the key in the start position after about 3 clicks the car would start just fine this too was also sporadic. this slowly grew into holding the key longer and longer before it would start. Starter sounds fine and car starts just fine when it does crank over. today had same problem except no click under hood display posted No compass. I checked the fuses and seen that fuse #10 30 amp Starter coil, PCM had blown. I replaced it and it was back to starting after 3 clicks from under the hood. Car started but continued to spin after key was released for about 2 seconds, turned off the car and tried to restart and again nothing checked fuse and fuse was blown. Need help please!
  3. I have a 2009 Ford Fusion SEL, that sometimes it will start fine and other times it will not. sometimes it can be after sitting all night and other times after sitting for 30 minutes or so. it will go days starting just fine then out of the blue it will not. when I try to start the car during the times that it don't want to start I hear a click under the dash drivers side. I watched some videos and read some articles and it sounded to point to a worn ignition switch (key Switch) so I held the key over in the start position and could hear a repeated click under the driver side dash that was steady and rhythmic. the first few times that this no start happened it started on the 3rd click now it is happening more often and taking long before the start if at all it does now. Before anything said, New battery cleaned both ends of the cables checked the solenoid. Just haven't changed the battery in the key fob. I do not get the security light but does come on during the self test. I need help as this one has me baffled.
