  1. Hey, thanx for the reply. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of people familiar with this setup, so I’m glad there was someone who is. I ended up pulling it all back apart, replacing the output shaft seal on the transmission(like I should’ve in the 1st place). I did clean the mating surfaces of the trans with a brass wire wheel to try to get the surface smooth), and did use some RTV between the mating surface of the trans and PTU. Good news, it’s all back together and not leaking! So again, thank you for your reply/info. I appreciate it!
  2. Hello all. I have a 2012 Fusion SEL AWD, 3.0L V6, 6F35 Transmission. Bought is a little over a year ago, with 86K miles on it. Well, the PTU went, so I replaced it with a new OEM from the stealership, got it all back together, everything torqued to spec, and now it's leaking ATF where the PTU mates up to the transmission. Mating surfaces were clean. There is no gasket that goes between the Trans and PTU. Looked at the service manual, and it just says to tighten the 5 mounting bolts to spec. So I'm not sure what I should do to stop this ATF leak. Should I pull it back apart, and use RTV on the mating surfaces? try to torque the mounting bolts down a little more? If anyone has replaced their PTU and had an ATF leak between the Trans and PTU, any help would be appreciated. Thanx.
  3. Hey, I’m in the middle of this very same thing. How did you have the rear cat out? I can’t see how you would access the bolts, as there’s for very little room. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanx!
