Hello all. I have a 2012 Fusion SEL AWD, 3.0L V6, 6F35 Transmission. Bought is a little over a year ago, with 86K miles on it. Well, the PTU went, so I replaced it with a new OEM from the stealership, got it all back together, everything torqued to spec, and now it's leaking ATF where the PTU mates up to the transmission. Mating surfaces were clean. There is no gasket that goes between the Trans and PTU. Looked at the service manual, and it just says to tighten the 5 mounting bolts to spec. So I'm not sure what I should do to stop this ATF leak. Should I pull it back apart, and use RTV on the mating surfaces? try to torque the mounting bolts down a little more?
If anyone has replaced their PTU and had an ATF leak between the Trans and PTU, any help would be appreciated.
Thanx.
