  1. Problem solved. In person at dealership a knowledgable worker said for a 2019 ford fusion energi titanium the Red Thrust bearing is part number CJ5Z-6337-C.
  2. I'm in the process of replacing main bearings. I've been able to find the correct crankshaft main bearing replacements for the upper and lower (Reds) but I'm having a dilemma. The thrust bearing is a Red as well but on dealerships website I have a wide variety of thrust bearing replacements for this 2019 Ford Fusion Energi Titanium hybrid ranging between these part numbers: CJ5Z-6337-A CJ5Z-6337-B CJ5Z-6337-C CJ5Z-6337-D CJ5Z-6337-E CJ5Z-6337-F CJ5Z-6337-G The thrust bearing I'm trying to replace has this number stamped on it: CJ5E 817 C217. I think the part number that best resembles this is part number CJ5Z-6337-E. I called the dealership and they weren't even sure which one would be the proper replacement! I was told I would need a service manual to cross reference the part numbers? Does anyone have one they could send or look this up? I can't believe the dealership doesn't have this info or didn't want to look it up for me.
  3. I think you could get away with cutting it if you were really that much in a financial bind. Although be very cognizant of where you cut and the angle you cut it at. Lastly be sure not to cut too much. I'll be honest, I am not in favor of lowering springs period. I had eibach lowering springs on my honda when I was a kid and cv axle broke when I took a hard turn. The lowering springs threw off the whole drive train geometry of the vehicle which would make this prone to happening again if I left them on. Also the ride quality was horrible. Needless to say I sold the lowering springs and went back to stock.
  4. I couldn't hear anything from the video. Strange, mute button wasn't enabled and turned my volume all the way up..
  5. Wife ignored low oil pressure warning light whilst driving 90mph up a large hill. Bearing was basically melted into crank journal. Don't let this happen to you.
  6. Hey guys does anyone possibly have the service manual for a 2019 Fusion Energi Titanium hybrid? I just checked Helmsinc and its a costly $226. I am willing to buy from you if need be, I am just in a financial pinch right now since i'm rebuilding most the motor due to my wife driving this car 90mph up a hill with no oil! Learn from her mistake DO NOT IGNORE LOW OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT
  7. On my fusion there is a valet number lock key pad installed from the dealership. It's located near the steering wheel. If the code is not entered it won't be able to get out of Park.
  8. Yeah, If I were you i'd purchase "Genuine Ford Fluid TA-31 RTV Silicone Sealant" and really clean those mating surfaces good with microfiber cloth and acetone. Any gunk or stubborn material I would use a brass wire wheel and apply light pressure to remove. That sealant from ford is really good stuff just keep in mind you may need a caulking gun depending on the tube you buy. Try not to apply too much sealant while also trying not to apply too little. Keep in mind the sealant will compress and buldge outwards when tightening the mating surfaces together. I'm thinking you may have a leak due to uneven mating surface or possibly you're torque wrench is inaccurate and the bolt's aren't tight enough. Don't be afraid of hand tightening them further once you hear the click. As long as you have them nice and tight before they start stripping you'll be fine.
  9. Thanks for the link drolds1. I confirmed with ford dealership that this 2019 ford fusion energi titanium hybrid has valve guides that are cast into the head. If they were removable inserts I have the tools to do that myself but in order to replace these guides the originals would have to get machined out. I don't have that kind of equipment. Local shop machine shop charges $320 parts and labor. Not knowing the quality of replacement valve guides they carry I think I'll play it safe and go with a new head from Ford which is only $60 dollars more with a total cost of $380.
  10. I was hoping to replace valves and valve guides due to excessive wear and significant play. I'm looking on ford dealerships website and don't see valve guides available for purhcase. I don't even see them in the parts diagram. Same thing with autozone/oreilly. Does anyone know if the valve guides on a 2019 ford fusion energi titanium hybrid are removable? Please tell me they're not machined into the head ?
