My clutch pedal intermittently stays on the floor after being pressed. I can lift the pedal and continue driving. I few times the clutch did not disengage when fully pressed. No external fluid leaks and fluid is at proper level. There seems to be an internal leak in master cylinder and/or slave cylinder. My question is on the clutch pedal assembly. (Clutch pedal assembly is now removed). When you start to press the clutch pedal, there is spring force holding it in the up position. You move the pedal less than 1" and it passes a "break-over point" with the spring and the spring holds the pedal in the down position with significant force. Has anyone run into this? Does not seem like it should be normal operation for the pedal to be held down with spring force.
