  1. CLDFUZN - COLD FUSION CONFUZN - CONFUSION NUCLEAR - self explanatory CONFUZD - CONFUSED
  2. PROBABLY NOT, DUE TO THE THICKNESS AT THE BASE OF THE F150 SHIFTER AS IT GOES THROUGHT THE VANES SURROUNDING IT - A GOOD POSSIBLE FIT WOULD BE A LEATHER OR WOOD SHIFTER FROM A LINCOLN LS OR EVEN A MAZDA 6 DEPENDING ON THEIR DESIGN. I HAVE COPIES OF THE REMOVEAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE FUSION AND 150 SHIFTERS FROM THE REPAIR MANUALS - E-MAIL ME YOUR FAX NUMBER AND I'LL SEND THEM TO YOU IF YOUR INTERESTED ARESKA@HOLMANAUTO.COM
  3. 1.- I COULD STAND A FEW MORE INCHES....IN HEIGHT, I'M 5'8" 2 - ANY FLAVOR DRIPPING DOWN RACHEL HUNTER 3 - 1ST CAR, 1970 MERCURY COUGAR, 351C 2V, CRUISEMATIC FMX, 3.00:1, GREEN/GREEN, VINYL ROOF.....WOULD SMOKE THE TIRES IN REVERSE. JUST FOR THE RECORD, GENERIC CIALIS....WHO WOULDN'T WANT A 4HR WOODY. i'M SURE AS HELL NOT GONNA CALL A DOCTOR.
  4. Yeah, there's always that comparison.....i just think the Falcon name would have carried the car a little better, especially among men. Is it just me or is Ford pushing this car too much towards women. I know all the stats about how women make 'x' percentage amouint of buying decisions. I just think Ford needs to show other people driving these things in commercials. I don't know, maybe I'm just reading into it too much.
  5. If you worked for Ford when it came time to name the Fusion, what name would you have chosen? My personal choice would have been 'Falcon" and "Comet" for Mercury's despite their use of "M" letered names.
  6. Thanks Allen, I was just guesstimating on the size. which remonds me, I was going to go into the workshop manuals here and see where the harness might/would be.
  7. OK....'HEADLIGHTS' THAT TILT FORWARD WOULD BE NEAT TOO.... but tilting headRESTS would be safer.
  8. AFTER CRAWLING THROUGH MY TRUNK THIS WEEKEND TO INSTALL MY SATALLITE RADIO I SAW 2 PRECUT HOLES IN THE REAR DECK THAT WILL FIT 6X9'S, BUT FOR THE LIFE OF ME I COULD NOT FIND THE 'PREWIRED' HARNESS FOR THEM. SO, 6 x 9's WILL FIT, BUT MAY REQUIRE SOME CREATIVE WIRING...AND AN AMP WOULDN'T HURT EITHER.
  9. how about a light ring around the ignition tumbler so you can see it in the dark. - how about some backlighting aound the headlight switch too. - 3-spoke steering wheel out of the mazda mpv van, already equipped w/radio and cruise controls on the top spokes. much more sporty looking than the 'generic' looking wheel now. has the appearance of perforated leather on portions of it. - headrests that tilt forward - switched power outlets in the dash top storage (not powered up 24/7 like center console ones are) it would be convienent for satallite radio or radar detectors. -
  10. Oh hell yes.....NO reason why engine should be turning at 3400 rpm in 5th gear at 75 mph. I bought a stick to row it, if i need to pass, I drop a gear or two if necessary. That's half the fun! Automatics have this feature, it's called KICK down. I shouldn't need to stay in 5th to accelerate and pass. Correct me if I'm wrong (and I know someone will), but 5th gear in the manny or 6th in the auto are "overdrive" gears... so let them be that. OR just put the 6th gear in the manny trans.
  11. Would have made a lot more sense in the April issue.
  12. Hey EeeZee, I have a simple question for you. When you went in to the dealer originally about the paint blemish on the hood of the Fusion, How did you treat the service advisor. Did you go in there being a loud mouth or did you simply ask for their assitance in rectifying the situation? Dealers that don't have their own on premises usually have a body shop in their local vicinity that the send all their work to. Sounds to me you got a little "huffy" with the guy/gal and they told you to take it to a body shop to blow you off. I don't know you and I'm not saying that's what you did, but if you read between the lines, that's the impression that I got. I've always felt that one of the best ideas for a reality TV show would be the behind the scenes look of a new car dealer, American or foreign. Why, because I am a service advisor for a major Ford dealer in New Jersey. I've been in the business since '91, here and in Tampa, Fl at a Linc/Merc dealer.
  13. Has anyone else seen the article in Car/Driver magazine about the "06 Falcon Sprint GT/A? The car has elements of Fusion, Focus, Milan & Mazda6 wagon. What I'm curious about is, is this some sort of practical joke. I've read the article a few times and it seems "sincere", but I just think it's a giant hoax. The engnine in the picture looks like SHO motor, the steering wheel has no air bag and is wood rimmed, the shifter is a Hurst shifter and so on. I think it's cool as s**t and would buy one if it were real. Anyway, whats your opinion?
  14. YES YOU CAN ORDER THE REMOTE START FROM FORD. Do you want to install it yourself is dependent on how good you are at reading and wiring
  15. yes it definitely will improve on it's styling, the 3.5 will improve on it's power, but the ultimate fix would be to drop the Yamaha v8 out of the Volvo xc90 in the engine bay with & without awd. anything after that is just icing on the cake.
