Performed the mechanical electric cooling system drain per the service manual, and the system won't fill back up afterwards. The bleed screw has been loosened. Turning the car to "on" doesn't initiate anything, including the pump. It's my understanding that these pumps won't run without fluid in them. I could be wrong on that one. No codes are popping up. Pulling the hoses afterwards promptly drains the reservoir out and into my drain pan.
Truly puzzled on this one. Anybody run into this issue or have any suggestions?
I have AAA and could easily have it towed to a shop, but I'd love to avoid paying a mechanic to service it. I have another vehicle to use in the meantime, although it eats gas 😅
