Newbie here.
Creating this thread in the hopes that someone else here has found a solution to the 2017 Ford Fusion SE Parasitic Drain issue.
AKIN'S FORD in Winder Georgia, sold my, 75 year old mother, a car with a known drive ability issue.
My mother is very trusting of other people and is not at all as salty or skeptical of used car salesman as I am.
I had no desire to embarrass her in front of the salesman.
Her car killed 4 batteries in 3 years by randomly draining the battery.
No pattern.
I have since learned of the common battery drain issue and she has taken the machine to AKIN'S Ford for repair.
She did purchase a very good warranty at the time of purchase.
After leaving this machine with the dealer for a couple of days, she was advised to start the machine every day to keep the battery recharged.
Also known as, AKIN'S FORD has no idea why this is happening.
I am sure that I am not the only one here who has experienced this issue and I am reaching out in the hopes that there is a software mod available that will overwrite the buggy factory firmware and resolve the issue.
The issue may be faulty hardware but I sincerely suspect that the machine is attempting to transmit marketing telemetry while the unit is sitting dormant.
No matter what the fix may be, is there any one here that can lead me to the path of not worrying about my mother driving a lemon in today's society.
Any help would be truly appreciated.
