Car is in awesome shape. Just had NYS inspection, and service done (flushed tranny fluid, replaced spark plugs, new steering gear rack, new power steering lines, new brakes, new tires). Probably more just can't think of all now. The car has tinted back lights, tinted windows, half-tint on front headlights, new stereo system with boom box in trunk, new front grill. I know you probably need more info on how much I can ask for this, but I'm hoping for $10k. Thanks for your input!

Well, it is NOT the steering gear rack. Got a call this morning that the car is still making the same noise. So now they've had the car two days. I told them if they had to keep car overnight that I needed a rental.I'll keep you posted!

06-20-14 STEERING GRUNT NOISE ON LEFT HAND TURNS Yup, brought it to dealer a few times. Couldn't get it to make noise for technician. Finally, had enough and brought it in. Had the service guy drive with me. As soon as I turned left he heard it. Another left and heard it again. Steering Gear Rack - has internal problem. Being replaced. I called them today to make sure that they also did an alignment, flush power steering fluid, and bleed the system to remove trapped air. Service guy said Yes, that is all part of replacing rack. Hope all is well on my test drive tonight. Sorry, had to add that this work is being done on my son's 2007.

50% on front, 35% on back, 20% rear window. About $300. Rochester NY. Still wish there was an easy fix for the matrix issue. I've been rubbing it out and it just goes back.

Son had to redo his tint on front passenger and driver windows. Too dark - he got stopped for something else - twice - and each time was told it was illegal but no ticket. I see some on here that have gotten tons of warnings and did nothing. He did have the front headlights all the way tinted - looked awesome, but reduced visibility too much. The back lights are seen fine at night.

2007 87,474 ! Bought it used in 2008 with 54,354. Original owner, I actually talked to him and he said he drove to Florida a lot.

I was thinking of getting a rear roof spoiler to cover the messy look of matrix dots not adhering to tint. Found a site selling it for $199. But, as you can see from pic, doesn't cover it all.

2007 Chevy Impala LT Flex Fuel Imperial Blue Metallic Never got the flex fuel. Always thought I'd get engine trouble. Anyone use it? will miss 3.5L V6 won’t miss hiccups when taking off – engine seemed to skip then get going sound system (if you can call it that) intermediate steering shaft replaced twice. First at 8,000 mi second about 12,000mi – covered by warranty. rear wheel spindle rods replaced – fought to have chevy pay me SOMETHING for that repair and new tires. There was a TSB for this problem but listed affected cars as ‘police’ vehicles only. BUT my vin # was included in the vin list. bought car at 6,000 mi (dealer demo) and at 7,738 mi had to get rotors turned. Bought a 2012 Fusion SEL platinum white tri-coat black leather seats moon & tune package spoiler love it!

Yeah I know that description will get me far. lol I have the issue where the tinted portion of the back window does not fully cover the bubbles/circles at top. I went inside and pressed on the strip and it started crackling - it was not pressed firmly on window. It did not help any with the tint anyway. Is there something I can do to make this look better? I thought we had decided for the tint to start just below this area but my son forgot I'm taking it tomorrow to dealer for undercoating. Is there anything they can do? thanks!

It seems I can only charge my cell from the console location. I'm going to 'pick my battles' and not worry about asking dealer. Too much time involved when one port works.

I moved into the Ford family. Every since my son got his 2007, wanted to get one. Just traded in my 2007 Chevy Impala for a 2012 Fusion SEL, 4cyl, white platinum premium tri-coat. LOVE IT! My son got it tinted for me as a gift for all I've done for him. Pretty cool huh? We were going to have an ivory graphic across middle lower back on window with the Fusion word. Cost too much. Not sure if it would have added or taken away.

2007 Tint - windows and rear lights, partial front lights Grille - black will be getting a lip spoiler soon tried pinstriping - first bright yellow, then red on bottom - white on top (sticking to none) getting new rims

I realize this is an old post but I am currently having the same issue. Went to three body shops and they all said that the trim strip caused water to pool and that caused the corrosion. I've called Ford (1-800-392-3673) and they said they would only cover it if there were actual holes. I have to go back and talk to the Ford body shop guy and see what we can do. I'll let you know.

My son has a 2007 and had his windows, headlights, and taillights tinted. Looks awesome! He does have the issue on back window with the dotted part. Doesn't look bad though. It looked really sharp with all the tint. He also wants to get a black grill soon. Well, after a few days of driving, he decided it was dangerous with the front headlights. He went back and had them just keep the tint on the top of the headlight. I will post pictures soon on this thread.

Thanks for that info! I am going to have it replaced. Going to a different dealer to see if they have it cheaper. I'll let you know!

Any thoughts? Husband thinks the guard should be on car. Even though the service guy said don't need it.

This is exactly what my nephew told me. He is a mechanic at a dealership. I took the car back today and had the service guy test drive it with me since there was a scrapping noise I wanted him to hear. He said, first let's make sure it doesn't need more fluid, then we'll take it for a ride. Well, it looked like he put in about a cup (sorry bout that measurement , got in the car, turned the wheel and it was quiet! (The scrapping sound will get looked at next week, since I had just dropped in without calling they didn't have any time today. The service guy thinks it's just something lose.)

Yes! Fusion 2007 had to have the power steering return line replaced according to this tsb. Well, picked it up yesterday. Had them do a flush as well. Was expecting quiet, BUT the service guy told me that there was air in the line/pump that would "work itself out" in two days! And if it didn't, they would replace the pump. Man, when I went to get it and they drove it out - it sounded terrible! I'm not mechanical so if there is anyone out there who can weigh in on this issue, I would greatly appreciate it. thanks

2007 fusion 4 cyl. the splash guard under the car is hanging and mangled (son...). Costs $163 to replace. Dealer said don't need. So I told them to take it off and not replace it. What are your opinions?

2007 Fusion 4 cyl "grunts" when turning steering wheel. Dealer said there's a bulletin but they do not cover the problem. $251 but I am being charged $188 (reduced labor cost). Anyone else have this steering issue?

Thought I'd update this post. Turns out the previous (only one) owner drove it to Florida where they have sandy red roads. He said "I thought it'd all be out by now." Mystery solved.

My son just had a new sound system - speakers and deck - put in (by Best Buy). It sounds great! Alpine is what he went with. When this car is sold, BB will put back in old system at no charge!
