  1. I got my Blackberry Tour and the SYNC in my car to recognize each other, but when I get out and later get back in my car, they aren't paired any more. I have to go through the process all over again it seems to manually pair them. Isn't there a way to have them automatically "pair up" each time I get back in my car with my phone? -------------------------- Never mind, I think I got it now. it was a setting in the Blackberry that was prohibiting automatic detection. Too bad though that my Blackberry will not support the "text messaging" function of SYNC as SYNC is capable or reading your text messages out loud to you as they come in while driving. It's says 'not compatible" even though I do get texts on my blackberry.
  2. I used one on my motorcycle and it eventually melted the socket and stopped working altogether until I replaced the socket. It pulses really fast at first and gradually slows down to a solid light. It must have generated too much heat or pulled too much current or something so I went back to a standard bulb. it was halogen, not L.E.D. and was a single bulb with electronics built right into the base of it.
  3. My new 2010 Milan Premier V6 3.0 Tuxedo Black Medium Light Stone Leather Moon & Tune (Sony 12 speakers) Reverse Sensing System Remote Start Weathertech Floor Liners
  4. I remember reading a thread a few months ago where someone suggested the proper way to capture the radios ESN so you could register with Sirius. (If I recall, the manual has the instructions wrong?). Anyway, I tried doing a topic search and I scrolled through 6 pages of threads looking for the one thread. Can anyone point me to it or suggest the right way to capture your ESN? My car is a 2010 Milan with the 12 speaker Sony - NO Nav. NEVER MIND, found it.....
  5. That's not just applicable to the FFH correct? That suspension is virtually the same for all Fusion / Milan models I think. The only thing that changes is the minor tweeks for the "Sport Tuned" suspension.
  6. Now THAT would totally suck... Picking up my new car today, hope that doesn't happen to my Sony..
  7. I wouldn't....... (But that's just me.)
  8. Besides, (lowbeam) "Silverstars" are darn near a total waste of money.... Few people who install them want to admit that but the fact is, it's the truth.
  9. Dan, Just out of curiosity, what State do you live in because I want to make sure I never move there if the police can't be bothered to come out and write up a report. If I do move there, I'll be packin' heat to deal with offenders then and let the cops come do clean up afterwards...
  10. In New Jersey, it doesn't matter if the cars were moving or parked in a private parking lot (mall etc.) as long as there's what appears to be $200 worth of damage (I think that's the threshold). And what cop is going to become a body shop expert and judge what $200 worth of damage looks like anyway, if anything at all is visible, he's going to write up a report for you. Besides, you sneeze today on a car and it's got $200 worth of damage, right? Always, Always, Always get a police report unless the "other guy" is willing to flip open his wallet on the spot and pay you in cash an amount you both agree to. You have nothing to go on other then a name and phone number, which might not even be valid. The other party could claim your damage was pre-existing or that they were never even there. Getting a police report will put a little fear into them and you have something substantial to turn into the insurance company too. Please do let us know how this all ends up because I'm guessing you get little to nothing from the other party involved, nor their insurance either. If you don't get anything, find their car some night and "repay" them in kind (but leave your Son at home this time.) And I agree with BBF, please do remember to treat your Son for tipping you to the event.
  11. ctrcbob, If you're that unhappy with any vehicle you ordered, or made a deposit right on the lot for that matter, simply don't take delvery of it. if you don't take delivery it creates a legal quagmire for the dealer and he cannot simply "keep" you deposit. Once you officially take delivery, the vehicle is yours and all repairs etc are considered under the warranty policy. By not taking posession of the vehicle, the car remains the property of the manufacturer or the dealership and both will work hard to complete the transaction and make you happy. Not taking delivery is in fact the BEST thing you can decide to do, especially if the problems noted are more serious in nature. (If it's a quick fix, then turn that around and tell them you'll take delivery when its completed then.) Had I ordered a car and it came with less standard equipment then was advertised in their brochure, I too would consider that to be a serious breach of the deal and might walk away from the car too. The dealership would likely refund your deposit within 30 days (if not much much sooner) as the longer they held onto it would cause them all sorts of problems. No dealership wants an unhappy customer, nor do they want that unwanted vehicle on their lot or inventory either. As long as you refuse official delivery, trust me, YOU are definitely in the "driver's seat." If you do take delivery of a vehicle with flaws or needed fixes, make sure you get it in writing on the spot just what will be corrected, how and when too. Only then should you make the vehicle "yours." Just out of curiosity, what "standard" items was your car missing when it came in? Are you sure you interpreted the sales brochure correctly? sullied, Please do post some photos once you get your new car. Did you get leather seats?
  12. I hope you had the police respond and write up a report. Good luck to you if you didn't. Undocumented damage is hard to claim, even if you do go to small claims court. Personally, I would laugh at anything close to $1000 for that repair, even though it may in fact be accurate.
  13. Congrats! I wish the "ice blue" exterior was available for non-hybrid models. I think that's a nice combo, light blue with charcoal interior. I don't know how long it takes for everything you asked but I myself am going on 9 weeks now and I expect I may have my car late next week or the following week.
  14. Ordered my 2010 Milan on February 19th and right now it's on a "rail car" somewhere between Mexico and New Jersey. Hoping I get the call some time next week, even though I won't be home to get it. 3 weeks ain't NUTHIN'
  15. I'd love to except my car is due to be delivered in another week or 10 days. It shipped from Mexico via rail on April 14th. I'll gladly post pictures once I take delivery though. This is what my wheels will look like except my car will be Tuxedo Black.
  16. QUICK POLL OF THE AUDIENCE: 2010 Black Milan Premier w/ stock 7 spoke alum wheels. Would you put on the Black or Red caliper covers?
  17. It's "on the way" and that's all that really counts!! I've got the VIN, paperwork and insureance card in my hands already. (Weathertech floor liners too!)
  18. Good News! I emailed them and here's there answer about the $230 price. "4 with the licensed engraving." So 4 caliper covers in either Red or Black with Ford logo engraving. I think I'll be getting a set in Black for my new Black Milan! THANKS for posting the link - very nice looking product.
  19. I sent them an email asking if its for one cover, of for one pair. (I have a good feeling it's for one single cover - in which case I won't be buying them.)
  20. WOW! I like the covers! Anyone know if the $230 price is for each or for a pair? I think they come in Black or Red. I think the price is each, and that's a little pricey if you ask me. For a pair it would be a decent deal though.
  21. Don't take "no" for an answer until they replace your front bumper cover. Anything less is just plain unacceptable! Park outside the dealership and show it to every prospective customer if you need to embrrass them into replacing it.
  22. Checked on my order today and it says that my new Milan 'shipped via railroad on 04/15." Does anyone know how long it takes when it ships via rail like this? The estimated delivery date that is shown is the week of 05/17 (I'm in New Jersey) Sound right?
  23. The 2010 Fusion "Job 2" changes relocated the button to the steering wheel, so it all depends on when your Fusion / Milan was built.
  24. There's nothing worse on the market today then the locks on my 2007 Ford Escape. It locks all the doors automatically but when you stop and exit your vehicle (in park obviously) it leaves all the other doors locked. You have to manually hit the unlock (which I ALWAYS forget to do!) and when I reach my tailgate or a door on the other side to take something out, I always wind up cursing!!!!!
  25. I ordered mine on February 19th (Fleet vehicle - Milan) and it is now scheduled to be delivered to me about May 15th, so thats right about 12 weeks. I was told when I ordered that because I chose the 3.0 V6, it would be delayed. They claim the demand for the motor is the hold up.
