About a 1/2 mile from my home there is a what looks like a red flag. There is a church at that location but there is also 3 other churches in less than a 1/2 mile from this church and these don't have red flags. I have turned off all the POI's and I still don't know what it is. I looked through the nav manual too and the it looks like the one for waypoint or startpoint but no number in the middle. Any ideas

There is more to it than saving gas. Nice to start up in the morning and have almost instant heat let along when I drive it and only go 3 miles that the display says is 19.8 mpg and 29.9 mpg with the heater. But not freezing my you know what on that short trip is worth something to me too. One more thing, this is with a garage which is part of the house with 3 bedrooms above and the temp is about 15 degrees above outside temps.

I had mine dealer installed on my FFH and I discussed it with the mechanic before he installed it. Mine comes out the lower bottom grill right next to the fog light and only about 2" stick out and unless you are looking for it you most likely will miss it. Just enough sticking out to take off the cap and hold it while I plug it in. I'd have the dealer reroute it.

I got the bi-directional (dealer installed) and the mechanic told me he always sets them for the 15 minutes cause if you get in early you disable it when you take off. If not you get 15 min. I haven't tried on mine yet but on all the G.M. vehicles I have had you can push it the 2nd time and it resets the time. If one time is say 15 min. and at the end of 12 min. you push the remote start again you get a 2nd 15 min. for a total of 27 min. But I believe my wifes is only 10 per for a total of 20 on her STS. I would have the dealer program it for the 15 min. though. I once had a aftermarket remote start that you could push it and it would start for 20 min. before shutting off but could be programed to repeat this every hour for a total of 24 hours for those people who lived in Alaska.

I think you are in deep do-do, better talk to a real installer. Oh, don't forget your billfold.

I would like to spice up our FFH some with some graphics that shows off the Hybrid. Maybe something like they did with the old Boss 302 Mustangs but have the stripes accent the Hybrid insigna on the doors or something length wise on the hood saying Hybrid in big letters with some stripes around it. Has anyone here done any graphics, or striping to their Hybrid?

There is no reason they can't send it out to a seat upholstery shop who should be able to fix it very easy.

I thought you were talking about the Fusion, sorry, Man that does look like crap. I worked in future products at GM and in the 16 years I was in it, 5 major overhauls of the cars our plant built we would have caught that while it was still in prototype. I'm shocked Ford let that out the door as they seem to do a pretty good job on fit and finish at least on wifes Hybrid and ones she dragged me around to look at.

Why not just have the dealer take it off, he put it on and that way if some clear coat comes off he can fix it on his dime. Thats what happened to me on a new truck and dealer had to reclearcoat the tailgate on his dime.

Same Company but at this time still run as two companies. Kind of like Ford and Lincoln, two different cars but same company.

Haven't checked out my Sirius but other car has XM (same Company) and included in my subscription it allows me to listen to XM on my computer for free. Check out Sirius and see if they have the samething.

Have them fix the seat. It should look just like the left seat. Oh to the other poster, I just went outside and checked out my tail lights and the alignment is right on. Maybe you should get yours fixed. Oh, I just looked at your post again. It says you are leaning toward a Ford. Maybe you had better check out another one as I doubt they are all mis aligned. Since the seam on the truck has a very slight curve it flows right into my tail light seam. Are you sure you just didn't look carefully enough?

There may someday be some kind of package we can buy to upgrade our Hybrids like you can with the Prius. I know there are a couple kits starting about under $1700 but you have to remember the Prius has been around for many years where as the Fusion is in its first year. I doubt if less than 1% of Prius owners get a kit for their cars so for arguements sake we'll use that number. Now how many Fusion Hybrids are there X 1% or less. Not very many kits would be sold at that rate. In order to sell a product and sell it at a good price you need lots of sales and we are no where near that yet. Maybe in a few years but who knows, maybe the kits that are out can be fitted to our cars and if enough people contact those companies maybe they will see the extra $$ in their eyes and spend the money to convert the kit to fit our cars. One way to tell is are there any kits for the Excape Hybrid on the market. That would be the closest to ours and the easiest to retrofit.

Hey, if they take my battery then I can can have pass through back seats like everyone else.

In your garage the only way you will receive XM or Sirius relieabily is if the door is open and faces south. I have had a number of vehicles with XM and now the FFH with Sirius and they all work the same. It all amounts to the terain you are in.

We have a STS we had for over 3 years with the touch screen nav and it is no worse for the wear after all those touches but then again I don't have a kid I turned loose without proper supervision to scratch my screen.

Geez, did they even put a quality temp gauge on the car to see if the display temp is even reading right?

Do a search as someone else a month or two back had the same problem. Said instructions were wrong but his was installed by dealer and they fixed it. Maybe he will chime in. Hope my memory isn't completely wrong.

On mine I just dragged the mp3's over to the drive and plugged it in and it worked. I suggest you try another thumb drive as the one you have may not work with the car.

I guess I wouldn't buy Speedway gas then. I use it quite often but here in Mich. we can get what I call real 100% gas and I have no problems.

Sounds like it is working as it should. It is trying to average your mpg when there isn't any miles on the new tank. I have found it takes about 60 to 80 miles before it really starts settling down and then if you floor it the mpg will drop quite fast. I don't know how many miles you have but you will notice that the long term mpg barely moves at all and the more miles you put on the car the less it will move at all. Somewhere it will get to the point where it may not get any better and you could see a slight decrease once in a while like winter time. Summer will see it raise again. Forget about it and enjoy your ride.
