  1. Congratulations on your purchase.
  2. As fusionff stated, you have no need for a AWD, it will just be a heavier car. After 21 months and 29K miles, I have had no problems and no regrets with my Sport. It's really a fun little car.

    Congrats and enjoy.
  5. 28,000 miles on my Sport and not a hint of a problem. It is a great mix of good looks, decent power and ok mileage, I average about 21-22mpg mostly around town, but can get 26-27 on the hwy. It has good steering feel and a smooth shifting transmission. Overall, I would purchase again.
  6. One thing I find interesting is how the base price has gone up. The base price on my window sticker is $25,825 and the MSRP with 401A and RSS is $27,740. I just built one on the Ford website and the same car has a base price of $27,150 and a MSRP of $29,235. But it sounds like the deals are about the same. I paid $24,603 before TTL in 09/09.
  7. Glad you and your kiddos are okay, enjoy your new Sport. Can you tell a difference in the steering feel?
  8. During the model year they will manufacture the cars in different jobs; Job 1, Job 2, Job 3. It is pretty common to have small price adjustments and minor content changes between jobs.
  9. I would look at the 2012 Focus if I were you. I bet you can get a well optioned model for about 22K and it's a new body style; much nicer.
  10. "Does the 4 cylinder have enough power?" The 4 cylinder is adequate in the power department and of course is superior in the MPG department. "FWD or AWD?" Unless you are dealing with alot of ice and snow, FWD will be fine for your needs. "Any reason to purchase the Sport model?" Only if you have to buy a car with the biggest/most powerful engine available (me), and are willing to give up a couple of MPG's. The sport also has the best steering feel (big plus for me) and IMO, looks best. "Leaning toward Sterling Grey or Steel Blue exterior" I like the steel Blue, but color is a matter of opinion. Any fusion you buy will be a big upgrade over your current 1999 Prizm, good luck and welcome to the site.
  11. I have had a black car before, never again. Yes, they look great when clean. If I were getting a new Sport today, it would be White Platinum. Wish they had that color for the 2010 year model. Between black and Red; Red.
  12. You didn't mention price. All things being equal, I would get the SEL.
  13. One suggestion; enjoy. Congratulations.
