  1. 2009 Fusion, 4 cylinder. Sometimes one of the baffles / air dams behind the dash must get stuck - because no air comes out of any of the vents. The fan is running - but I can feel no air out of any of the vents. I try all the combinations of buttons - nothing can get air to come out. Then I'll turn car off, leave, and when I come back - it will work. Any idea what causes this ? Any idea how to relieve ? Another guy at work with same car has same thing hapen to him occasionally. Thanks !
  2. Thanks. My car is a company car - so I turn the radio up and the sound goes away.... I'll be turning it in soon anyhow - have almost 50k on a 2010.....
  3. Haven't done anything. My noise happens in all transmissions gears (P N D) - so now I don't think it is the tranny. If I had to guess, it is a noisy bearing in the alternator - I had a Taurus years ago that made a similar noise, I believe. Did a quick look under hood and I couldn't immediately see the alternator. Annoying but doesn't sound like a "serious noise".
  4. 2010 Fusion. 4 cylinder. Car just started making a "whir" sound that seems like coming from transmission in center of car (vacuum cleaner kind of sound). Goes up with engine RPM (in both N and D). Once car gets up to top gear, get s quiet (maybe still there, just low RPM). Any ideas ? I'll try recording sound and posting. Thanks !

  6. Found my solution - I took and old set of clips from old Taurus - drilled out some rivets - "re-bent" the bottom piece to fit the Fusion - bolted together - works great - pic below.... My linkhttp://s295.photobucket.com/albums/mm131/davejunkmail123/?action=view&current=DSCN4768.jpg
  7. Are your 2167 clips "close" to working with 400 feet and Fusion ? If you're not using and they are close - I'd be interested in them - maybe I can modify - I live in Delaware.
  8. What are you doing next ? Yakima doesn't have dozens of different feet, do they ? Thule drives me crazy - look at all these feet Thule feet And their website is lame. I do not want to make any more big expenditures in Thule - if I have to buy 480 feet ($140) and 1529 fit kit ($60 ?) -- then I want to convert over to Yakima.........
  9. Thanks - I'll check - maybe I was "cranky" earlier about Sync...... you know life is too complex when you have to reboot your car.... Have a great day !
  10. OK -- think I successfully updated. Now - how do I turn off vehicle health reports ? Thanks for your help !
  11. I'm having same problem. Sync is totally worthless to me. Now I have to update it just to turn the !@#$ thing off.........
  12. Thanks - here's another link suggesting 2167 kit. Find any good deals on that kit ? I'm tired of buying new fit kits for every car... http://www.orsracksdirect.com/blog-2010-ford-fusion-car-rack-rec-86.html
  13. Holes aren't bad - car looks better without bracket - obviously would prefer no holes but too late for that...
  14. Fusion 2010. Have "old style" Thule system (not Aero). Anybody know what fit kit works ? I see 1124 and 2167 on web - can't confirm either. Thanks !
  15. There two round circles on face - about 6" apart. I pushed a small punch in the center - and it releases the backing of the license plate mount. Attached is image - looks like one of those "drywall wall mounts" - where tabs expand/bend behind the drywall after pushed in. So my bracket is off - there are two 1/4 inch holes in the bumper.
