Nice to know that Ford has the canister type filter for the 4. My VW has a canister, and it's the easiest thing to change. No special tool is needed, just big hands.

I'm doing the same thing. While I would love a diesel fusion/milan, it's probably not going to happen. They wouldn't use the 6 that's going in the f-150 as it would be much to heavy. They would probably use a 4 from europe, which is already available. Engine certification is a PITA, and it's cheaper for ford to use engines already in development for the US. Sucks, but that's the way it is. Cost down, profits up, and all that jazz.

What, you've never heard of a 6spd I-4 in texas? How about the Acura RSX, the Audi A4, VW's Golf, Jetta, GTi, etc. It'd be nice to see a manual offered with the v6.

I'd be all for AWD, if I could get it with the I-4 and 5spd manual. Since I probably won't be able to, the I-4 FWD and snow tires will do nicely.
