  1. Keep the chrome, my opinion is the Fusion is not the type of vehicle that agrees with the murdered out look. Just an opinion...
  2. Vehicles were required to have TPMS systems only after September 2007 build dates, IIRC. Your 2006, as well as my 07, do not have to worry about those pesky TPMS sensors.
  3. Probably the best way to compare tires is at Tirerack. They have surveys of tire performance in all sort of driving conditions, listed in a chart to see which tires perform better than others. Click the link below and choose what type of passenger tire (All season, summer, performance) that you want to install on your Fusion. Tire Rack (Click on continue to Tirerack.com in the center of the screen on the linked page.) Most forum members say their tires are good, and will recommend them. I have Continental Extremecontact DWS 06 tires, and like them a lot. See, even I just did it.
  4. For the I4: 5 speed Auto trans is a Mazda FN5R. 5 speed Manual trans is a Mazda G5M.
  5. This video below will show how to remove the interior door panel, which needs to be done to remove the mirror. Once the door panel is off, you can easily see how the mirror is bolted on and wired up.
  6. Make sure that you get the right springs, the front springs will definitely need to be specific to your cylinder count. The I4 engine is obviously less weight than the V6, and the springs make up the difference. Good brands: Tein, H&R, Eibach, Steeda, and Vogtland. The drop amounts vary, even between different models of the same brand. Most springs drop between 1.5" - 1.9". Tein S-Tech drops the front over 2", probably the most of the bunch. Some of the springs will be listed as fitting a 2003-2008 Mazda 6, which work perfectly on the Fusions. But may not list the Fusion as a fitting application. But again, get the right springs for your engines cylinders.
  7. Glad that it worked for you, it's amazing that it is that easy. I did the procedure a second time, (A long time after doing the first reset.), when I noticed the sunroof being slightly off again.
  8. You only press it a second time to confirm that all doors and trunk are closed. One beep means that they are all closed properly, two beeps means that one of the above were left ajar.
  9. 5" x 7" should be in the doors. Read this thread for the replacement options.
  10. Here it is. http://www.fordfusionforum.com/topic/7555-moonroof-issues/?p=52369
  11. Easy fix, read the thread below, second post.

Do you mean that the car moves, but very slow? That would mean the car is in 'Limp Mode' (Google it).
  13. Is there a vehicle that Motorweek doesn't like? It seems they're easily impressed with any vehicle whenever I catch an episode.
  14. Have you checked your owners manual? If it can be done, it will be there.
  15. I don't know anyone who pays $20 per month for sirius. I've been paying $5 or $6 a month since 2009. One phone call to cancel at the end of your subscription, which is every 5 or 6 months, and get a new deal for another 5 or 6 months. The call takes about 7-10 minutes on average. It's worth $6 a month to me. I can't advise on how to hook up a tuner though.
  16. I was always planning on getting a new Sport (Ever since the rumors first came out for 2017), but it does bother me that so many similar looking Fusions are out there. It made me take a good look at the new MKZ, and I recently had one for 3 days (Lincoln Weekend Date Night), and loved it.
  17. It sounds like the car was never repaired correctly, and then he sold the unresolved issues to you. Throwing parts at it may be simply wasting money on your part. I would also advise you to have a qualified mechanic dig into it.
  18. I don't think that you can repair the heated seat pad without taking the seat out of the car. It seems that it would be extremely difficult to do without removing the seat.
  19. Yes, the clock does light up. You need to replace the bulb. Read this thread. And this one.
  20. Use that warranty, as small as an issue is.
  21. Junk yard. You'd be better off getting a sub and amp and throwing it in the trunk, it's a lot easier. Or get a nice amplified Bazooka tube, I put one in the back floor of my truck. This thing cranks.
