  1. My 2017 Fusion 2.0L ecoboost had to get a new engine due to coolant intrusion earlier this year with ~ 30k mi. They did give me a rental, at least. PSA: anyone with these engines be sure to check your coolant level periodically and bring it in if it is low. That's how I discovered the engine issue in my car.
  2. Thanks. I just PM'd you with it. One other question, I assume that crimp connection can't be easily (and effectively) repaired and it is best just to replace the whole line?
  3. I did buy the car new and never had AC service or problems until now. I did find references online saying Ford does install the dye at the factory, but I am no expert on this.
  4. Thanks. So I don't need to replace any of the lost oil? Dye was installed at the factory.
  5. I have a 2010 Fusion SEL 3.0 V6. AC started giving out and I can clearly tell it is leaking at a crimped joint (rubber to aluminum) at the top by the radiator as there is oil from that joint and on pretty much everything below it (it glows green under UV light, so I know it is AC oil). I'm pretty sure I'll be able to replace the line (YF3513) and I'm thinking about refilling the freon myself (I have a good vacuum pump and can buy a gauge/manifold set at Harbor Freight for $50). The question is, how much AC oil should I add? I'm not replacing the compressor and the only oil I'm replacing is what leaked out (an unknown amount, I'm guessing an ounce or two). Should I add an ounce or two or just fill it with a can that already contains oil in it? Thanks!
  6. Call them and ask for the retentions department. Tell them you want the 1 year half off special that your friends are getting. I did that and got both my subs for half off. There a long thread on this at fatwallet.com.
