  1. I have a 2010 Fusion SEL with Nav that I replaced the stereo with a kenwood but the rear view camera image is horrible on the new screen compared to the factory screen, I think the new screen is getting stretched form a 4:3 aspect to a 16:9 and the colors are oversaturated and the night vision is horrible. I was thinking of replacing the rear view mirror with a screen to see if the fixes my issues. I know that the 2010 fusion without the nav has a mirror with a screen for the backup cam I was hoping that the wiring harness has the video cables ran to the mirror already. Also I know that the the current mirror has an ambient light sensor and would like to know if that is the light sensor that is used to turn on my head lights. If I could also get a pinout that would be great.
  2. @Oracle_EdThanks for the pinout. I was just able to take apart my dash again last night and the 12 pin connector that I have has almost every pin populated not just the 4 wires. Do you also have the pin out for the same connector but for the fusion with the navigation and I can see if I can rewire it to get it to work. If it has the same wires that are listed in the pinout that you sent me I should be able to get it to work. Where are you getting these diagrams?
  3. Thanks for the picture but I am having a hard time making sense of it, I am having trouble reading the text. If you had a picture of the pin out of the connector it self that would be easier for me to under stand showing the orientation of the plug and which pins are which. I am just looking to get climate information on the display like external temp and what I have my driver and passenger temps set to.
  4. I just got the new display last night and it does not power up. If I had a wiring diagram and pin-out for the connect I could make sure the connector is wired for what I am trying to do as I am going from the factory navigation to the non navigation display.
  5. I have but I might not be using the right key words for them to show up.
  6. I have been searching all over the internet and can't seem to find anybody that has replaced their stock stereo w/navigation with an after market stereo. As far as I can tell the only reason crutchfield doesn't have any thing for my car is because the stereo with the navigation has a different dash panel than the stereo without the navigation. So I bought the climate control buttons off of ebay and the information display. I plugged in them in and the display does not light up but the all the climate control buttons work as far as I can tell. Now the display I bought is for a 2010 to 2012 fusion and I just found a 2009 to 2010 display on ebay that I am going to try and see if it is because I have an early model 2010 as I got it right when they came out. Does any body know if the computer needs to be reprogrammed in order to get the display to work? Has anybody here replaced their factory navigation with a aftermarket stereo?
  7. 1. You will lose all SYNC capabilities if you replace the stock unit. If you just want Bluetooth you can replace it with a Bluetooth capable head unit but with no sync 2. It depends on what speakers you get, you shouldn't have to replace wires unless you add more watts from and amp or head unit. All you need to do to replace the speakers is to replace them with the same size and they will bolt right in. 3. Go to you local car stereo shop (not best buy) and see what they recomend, I have been out of the stereo hobby for quite a while and don't know what brands are good.
  8. I would like to meet the genius that decided to put that plastic cover under the engine that has a removable door for the oil filter. Because when you just take the small oil filter door off the large plastic cover and take the filter off all the oil runs out of the engine at the filter connect runs right onto the plastic cover making a huge mess. So if anybody has a 2010 3.0L I recommend taking the whole cover off the under side of the engine before removing the oil filter
  9. How do you have a 3yr/36,000 mile warranty on a car that has 106,000 miles on it? Is it a used car dealer warranty?
  10. I have been looking to an answer this very same question and have not found an answer. 2010 Fusion turbo
  11. Isn't it possible that ford used a different transmission on the 3.5L because the 6f35 physical would not fit on the 3.5L? If someone could post some sources that would collaborate what Wikipedia says the 6f35 transmission can handle. That would greatly help me in my decision of what I am going to do. Has anybody confirmed this ~45hp gain over stock with these upgrades?
  12. I found this on Wikipedia I have found that the Taurus SHO does in fact have the 6f55 and the fusion has the 6f35. I am having trouble finding other sites with HP and Torque information. I would like to be able to verify this information with other sources. If this information is correct I should be able to add about 60 hp and 60 ft·lbf safely. Like I said I would like to get a little extra power out of my fusion and my goal was to get it up to about the 300 hp range. Unless there are other ways to add a significant amount of HP a small turbo or supercharger is my only option. The only other things that I can think of are a new intake and exhaust, but I see that only gaining me about 20 hp give or take a little.
  13. If I wanted a Pontiac I would have gotten a Pontiac. I got the Fusion because I wanted a Fusion. Why would I need to replace the transmission? The AWD Fusion has the same Transmission that is in the 2010 Taurus SHO that has 365HP. This will not be a race vehicle; this will be my very day car and I normally drive conservatively. I just want some more power for the occasional fun.
  14. I have a 2010 Fusion SEL AWD V6 3.0L and would like to put a turbo or supercharger in it. I am looking for a kit that I can bolt in myself and would like to keep the engine mods to a bare minimum.
