  1. Yea thats what they told me a while back, of course this is the second or third software update so why should I believe they are going to care enough to fix it this time :/ This is ridiculous, its been well over 2 years since the 2010's hit the showroom floor and they still haven't come up with a SOLID fix. I'm probably dumping mine tomorrow for a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Limited tomorrow I love my Fusion, but my 2010 is having so many problems. I'm crossing my fingers my 2012 SE 2.5 won't be screwed.
  2. Well here's an update. I took it to the Ford dealer in central Alabama to have the sensor repaired, and they denied the repair after calling FordMoCo headquarters to have to repair approved and they DENIED IT until the *supposed* software update comes out. I don't think I can take this anymore, its been in the shop 6 times for the same transmission problems, now they say if the repair is performed without the update the sensor will break again. This leads me to believe they withe A. Don't know what they are talking about or B. Know my transmission is screwed up pretty bad and just want to get me through my warranty. Needless to say, I have a mild case of Autism and Tourette's and cannot handle the stress nor the danger of what its doing so I am probably going to trade my baby in tomorrow for a 2012 Mazda 6 V6 or a Hyundai Sonata 2.0T
  3. To the contrary I have a pretty decent southern accent living in the deep south (Alabama) and Michelle (SYNC) understands me almost every time! My contacts though are pretty straight forward like Josh and Ashleigh and it understands those great. It gives other people a hard time, I wish you could *train* the system to your voice.
  4. Hey everyone, I posted a while back about my transmission slipping and flaring, well I took it to another dealer and they did infact find the problem they think. So first thing, they said that Q4 of this year they will be releasing a software PCM update for ALL Fusions affected so 2010-2012 I4's and 3L V6's. 2'nd, they said that they have to order a new *Sensor* because they said my transmission sensor is not functioning properly. Has anyone heard of that and what exactly does this sensor do? Thanks everyone
  5. 2010 Ford Fusion SEL 3.0 V6 AWD, Fully loaded + sat nav = $31,329 out the door. Bought it right when Toyota because the nations failure for recalls.
  6. I'm starting to get really pissed at Ford. They are now telling me that yes, it is a PROBLEM. But there is another freakin software updating coming in the next few *months* and its ok to keep on driving it. I have been nothing but nice to Ford, I did file a complaint with corporate so hopefully they can do something about this. I do not feel safe driving this because its jerking very bad at interstate speeds and when it rains my tires actually slip when driving. If Ford cannot accommodate my simple request of repairing my transmission, I may have to file a lemon complaint or whatnot. I want a peaceful resolution, I KNOW Ford is capable of great service. I think the dealers hands are a bit tied at this point because they are being told something else by corporate. They are now making me drive a *broken* car they have driven and know is messed up, but they are saying they can't do anything until the new TSB comes out and that will fix or mask the problem for another 20,000 miles.
  7. Well did it again on my way to the dealer! Geesh. I took it to my local Ford dealer where I purchased it so I hope its back soon. I got a free 2012 Focus rental while mine is in the shop (2-3 weeks if there is a problem which there is evidently). The new Focus is nice but its transmission is very finicky, I hate it! And I feel very unsafe in it for some reason.
  8. No, I actually have a 2012 Fusion I4 as well. I have 3 Ford's.. Haha. Nothing was changed for 2012 except some new wheel options and standard integrated blind spot mirrors.
  9. I have an Ecoboost Explorer and shockingly there is not noticeable lag in the turbo. Look up how Ecoboost compares to normal turbo's.
  10. Hyundai is doing VERY well with their 274HP 2.0L I4 Sonata, which is more powerful than even the Sport model Fusion V6. Hyundai, Chevrolet AND HONDA have both announced they are dropping V6's from their midsize cars which is cool. Ford likely will with their 2013 Fusion as well. This is the trend, get used to it.

  12. I bought mine right when the redesign happened, I own a 2012 Fusion SEL I4 with no issues. I guess any car can have problems I didn't buy the Sport because the SEL had more features for the same exact price and they are about as quick, starting to think I should have. Lol. But then again, I had a 2009 Camry Hybrid with TONS of problems so I guess I may have gotten a "bad batch" or whatever, whatever happens I think Ford will ultimately take care of me.
  13. Hey guys, I have a always has been stock 2010 Ford Fusion SEL V6 with 28,000 miles on it. Unfortunately for about the last 8000 miles, the transmission has been acting *funny*. When it shifts, a lot of them flare, and jerk during up and downshifting. When hovering at 40Mph I can feel it hard shifting between 5th and 6th gear. And random transmission slippage mostly in the 1st and 2nd gear. Well for the last 2 weeks, when its cold and hasn't been driven for a few hours (more like overnight) its completely slipping. When going from first to second, second gear is slipping and it acts like its going into neutral and the RPM's skyrocket for a second until it grabs. This is with moderate acceleration. I have taken it to the dealer before this when it slipped occasionally and not on a regular basis and they always have come back and said its normal. Well this time I have a video I took from my phone.. It shows it slipping, do you think this will help my case in getting my transmission repaired? My foot was on the accelerator with no change while this is happening.. Here is the video, I have uploaded it to youtube, can anyone tell me what they think it is? Sorry its so shaky, it was taken on my iPhone as I don't have a video camera.. Its best to watch in full screen and HD 720p http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0G8WKanBJDE&feature=player_profilepage
  14. A 4cyl is going to sound a lot different and probably worse than a 3.0 with straight pipes.
  15. Thanks! Ill try that fuel system cleaner. We only have BP or Shell close to my home so which one is better? I steer away from JetPep which is a local Alabama company. It's getting normal gas milage, 20-26 depending on what kind of traffic I am in and how I drive. And I do get an oil change pretty much on the dot when its due.
